UV Ink can do amazing things to any tattoo! Adding special effects, accents, or highlights to your tattoo that show up underneath a black light. You can even have an "invisible" tattoo, one that only shows up under the black light!

The first photo above is of a freshly done tattoo under a regular light, the second one is under both a normal and blacklight, and the third photo is underneath nothing but a blacklight.  It is NOT an x-ray!!  You can see these pictures and more like them by going to here.

With anything, there is good and bad sides to this as well.  The tattoos can be completely invisible in normal light but will show scarring from the tattoo machine like normal until it heals. The UV tattoo becomes visible under a black light glowing in colors ranging from white to purple, depending on the ink chosen.  

Colored ink is also available, where the ink is visible in normal light (as with a regular tattoo) but the ink will glow under UV (black) light. Not all UV inks will glow as bright as others. 

If you chose to get a vibrant tattoo with the UV as an added touch, make sure to get the regular tattoo done first and let it heal then go back and get any UV accents, outlines, ect. done later.  Protecting the tattoo from normal UV rays for the first 3 months after receiving the tattoo process and avoiding the use of scented cremes or lotions on the tattoo area are suggested.
