Udaipur- The "City of Lakes" is perhaps one of the most romantic and beautiful cities of india, it was founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559 AD on the shores of Lake Pichola. It contrast to its desert neighbourhood it stands out with an enchanting image of white marble palaces, placid blue lakes, gardens, temples, surrounded by hills and mountains. Udaipur is possibly the most romantic city in Rajasthan. There would be no doubt as to why it is called "The Venice of East". Tour starts with a visit to the massive City Palace complex, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. The main part of the palace is a museum with its collection of mosaic, miniatures etc. depicting the Rajput way of life proceed on to Book NowJagdish temple located close to the City Palace, marvel at its imposing sculpted figures and heavily ornamented interiors. Drive on to the pratap Smarak, see the bronze statue of Rajput hero Maharana Pratap surrounded by some lovely landscaped gardens including a Japanese Rock Gardens. Eklingji - 22 km. Built in 734 AD, a complex enclosing 108 temples with a flight of steps leading down to the water tank (Kund). The temples are exquisitely carved out of sandstone and marble and are devoted to Lord Shiva, the family deity of the Mewar rulers. The sanctum sanctorum has a four faced image of Lord Shiva.
Book NowNagda - 23 km. The first capital of Bappa Rawal, the ancient place has a magnificent torana or arch which is exquisitely carved. The tenth century Sas Bahu temples dedicated to sas (mother -in-law) and bahu (daughter-in-law) are rated among the best temples in India. There is a lake surrounded by temples. The Abudji Jain Temple is worth visiting.
Lake Pichola, Eklingji, Nagda and Nathdwara Temples
Nathdwara- 48 km from Udaipur, built in the early 18th century. This simple shrine is one of the most celebrated of the Vaishnava Shrines of Shri Nathiji or Lord Krishna.

Maharana Jai Singh built the second largest artificial lake in Asia in 1685, 51 km from Udaipur. The lake has a 35 metres high dam with a length of 366 metres.
