Ultimate List of Sites like FML (Part 2)
83If you came here from Part 1, welcome and have fun reading the rest of the list. If you didn’t, be sure to check out Part one of this list at : http://www.hubpages.com/hub/Ultimate-List-of-Sites-like-FML-Part-1
When I started this ultimate list on websites that are like FMyLife. If you like FMyLife then this list is worth looking at.
FML Clones
NeedALie
This website is different in the sense that instead of providing stories it seeks to help other user based on submitted content. This website is the place to find excuses or lies to get out of just about anything, be it work, school or commitments. Another interesting thing is that users can request excuses, as denoted by the posts starting with “ *REQUEST* ”, If your reading this at work or school, that may probably not be the best idea, on the other hand it just may be.
Dumb Employed
Here’s a place for you to complain about your job, whether you believe someone’s an idiot or there’s some strange “dumb” or strange aspect to your job. All stories start with “At work today” and end with “I’m dumbemployed”.
FMGame
Used to be called GamerFML, it is basically FML with a focus on gamers, or events that occurred while playing a game. All posts start with “Today”. It is the smallest of any of the websites on this list with less than a page of postings. Though there doesn’t seem to have been much activity on the website recently, the few posting that are there are great for gamers.
MyLifeIsL33T
Like FMGame its content is based on game related stories, here the focus though is on why their life is L33T. For those of you who don’t know it I pronounced leet, and is part of leetspeak in which letters and symbols replace letters. L33T basically means elite, showing a high level of skill. Usualy someone who pwns n00bs.
HatePost
Here posts start with “I hate” followed by a few words or lines on something the poster hates, or a personal pet peeve.
LMyLife
The complete opposite of the previous site and very similar to MyLifeIsG. People share their short tidbits on why they love their life or why it’s awesome. Like FML all posts start with “Today” and end with “LML”. The website though does contain a handy search option if you want to look up stories based on subject.
VexBoard
Here people post things that vex them, whether it is an occurrence or something consistent. Posts start with “I’m vexed…” and end with “IMV”.
GivesMeHope:
Like the other positive FML-like websites on the list, people post things that give them hope. Some of the stories though aren’t necessarily from today rather any event in their life. People are also free to post pictures or videos that give them hope as well. Despite its relative recent founding, this website is already gaining popularity fast. On an interesting side note, the couple who founded this website, also founded DailyCute.Net and MuggleNet.com

Similar Websites
Group Hug .us
http://confessions.grouphug.us/
This website has been up for a few years now, is an online confession wall. People may post their confessions up online, with according to the website “no editorial basis”. Its age as a website can definitely be seen with nearly 80,000 pages of posts. Long before FML, this book has had its own published book, a sign of its consistent popularity over the years.
I Really Wanted To Say
http://www.ireallywantedtosay.com/
This website is interesting where each post is divided into 2 parts. The first part of the post is where someone puts what was actually said, and the 2nd part of the post is what they really wanted to say. Similar to comics when there is a thought bubble over someone head thinking what they really meant. Another interesting thing with this website is that they’ve added a photo confession part, where they’ve taken pictures of celebrities and famous people and comically applied the same concept.
I’m So Weird
Postings here contain short stories or thoughts on the weirdness of individuals or us as a culture.
My Drunk Texts (MDT)
Very similar to Texts From Last Night, where the idea is same. Not as general as TFLN where people submit texts from a previous night of drinking, and most postings are usually one liners rather than a conversation. Where they expand from TFLN is that the creators have created a mini network of user submitted websites which include:
My Drunk Pix (MDP): http://mydrunkpix.com/
See, I Fixed It: http://seeifixedit.com/
Not Always Right Book

The Customer Is Not Always Right: Hilarious and Horrific Tales of Customers Gone Wrong

List Price: $12.99 |
(The Costumer Is) Not always Right
Posting here range in length but they contain the conversation that occurred between the employee and the costumer showcasing stories about costumer annoyances, funny stories, or things that left the employee complexly confused. Each posting is divided into a category and has a short introduction so to make it easier to understand the context of the story. They have also recently published a book.
It Made My Day
Here people post stories of something that happened that made their day, or as the website describes it “little moments of WIN”.
So at the end of it all, I didn’t realize the massive undertaking this would be when I originally started this list. I didn’t think there would be so many sites like DML out there, but then again it’s the internet and in retrospect it doesn’t surprise me.
