In continuation of our review and summary of every X-Men comic book we will be covering Ultimate X-Men Issue 2. If you missed our previous summary please visit for the 1^st issue. If you do not want to take the time to read the review here is a brief summary. In issue one the characters of Storm, Iceman, Colossus, and Beast were introduced. The comic began with Magneto sending sentinels to attack the local city. The X-men were then dispatched to take care of them. The sad part of this first issue is it showed the intolerance the people had towards the X-men and those who are different to them. After the X-men save the people from the sentinels the people turn on the X-men and begin to throw rocks and beer bottles at them. The X-men then escape and we are introduced to the character Wolverine, and thus begins issue two.

Issue two begins with a focus on the character Wolverine. He is just leaving the airport and talks about how he has adamantium bones and can make it through airport security. Wolverine is discussing the infiltration of Xaviers X-men with a stranger when gun shots are fired and both the stranger and Wolverine are on the ground badly wounded. The scene then flashes to the X-men performing some training when all of the sudden Xavier cuts in and tells them he has located a mutant being transported to Canada. Xavier then reveals that the mutant being transported is the world’s worst serial killer “Wolverine”. The X-men team is then dispatched to capture Wolverine and ensure he is punished. The X-men team arrives at the scene to find that Wolverine is locked in a adamantium cage. The X-men then fight their way through to the cage only to let Wolverine escape. Wolverine then chases down the soldier who was abusing team and begins to cut his face. Marvel girl then steps in and knocks Wolverine unconscious, and Wolverine is then transported back to their base. The comic ends with the gloomy over shadowing of Magneto confessing that he had leaked the whereabouts of Wolverine so that he would be captured and rescued by the X-men. This plan by Magneto was all a clever rouse to set up the infiltration of Wolverine into the X-men.

In issue two we are left with multiple questions in our mind of what exactly Magneto has planned for Wolverine while he is with the X-men. We also must ask ourselves how will Professor X help Wolverine to become a better person. There are many questions we will need addressed but please look for the summary and review of issue three here.

It is also interesting to note that when Wolverine is about to kill one of the humans Marvel girl says to Wolverine don’t kill him, you will only prove that the papers are right. Even with their special abilities the X-men always try to do their best and show people that they are better then what they are perceived.
