Unable to sign in to Gmail account.

Cause:

This problem may occur if the Google sites are added to the restricted sites.

Symptoms:

Unable to sign in to Gmail account. | Gmail login failed.

Solution:

From 'Tools' menu and select 'Internet Options'. Click 'Security' tab. Click 'Trusted Sites' icon. Click 'Sites' button. In 'Add this Website to the zone' box, enter 'https://www.google.com', 'https://mail.google.com', 'http://b.mail.google.com'.

Internet Explorer enables you to browse Websites. For the security purpose, you can add some Websites to the restricted sites zone. If Google is added to the restricted sites zone, you may not be able to sign in Gmail. To resolve the error: 1) Open Internet Explorer. 2) From the 'Tools' menu and click 'Internet Options'. (The 'Internet Options' dialog box appears.)    'Internet Options' dialog box 3) Click the 'Security' tab. (The 'Security' tab appears.)    'Security' tab  4) From the 'Select a Web content zone to specify its security settings' section, click the 'Restricted sites' icon. 5) Click the 'Sites' button. (The 'Restricted sites' dialog box appears.)    'Restricted sites' dialog box 6) In the 'Web sites' box, select the 'https://www.google.com', and click the 'Remove' button. 7) In the 'Web sites' box, select the 'https://mail.google.com', and click the 'Remove' button. 8) In the 'Web sites' box, select the 'http://b.mail.google.com', and click the 'Remove' button. 9) Click 'OK'. 10) Click 'OK'.
