5 Undefeated Teams Left

Count them.  There are a total of 5 teams left in the National Football League.  Three are from the NFC and Two are from the AFC.  Lets Preview them.

In the NFC, there are the New Orleans Saints, the New York Giants, and the Minnesota Vikings.  All three teams look really strong and all three will make the playoffs.  However, which one will fall first, between the three of them, out of the ranks of the Undefeated.  The Giants will lose first due to the fact they are looking pretty banged up.  Eli Manning is just a portion of their problems with an ankle injury because there are injuries all over that team.  Both the Saints and the Vikings are looking seriously strong and carry a lot of swagger and poise amoung them.  I have to say though, the Vikings will lose a game first before the Saints leaving the Saints the only undefeated team in the NFC.  Will the Saints go on throughout the season undefeated?  Absolutely not.  Sorry, but not going to happen.

In the AFC, there are only 2 team that are left undefeated.  The Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos.  The Broncos?  You mean the same Broncos that everybody claimed they were not going to do well this season because they did absolutely nothing this past offseason to gain any talent, let alone let a lot of talent go?  Yep, the same team that I predicted to go 4-0 the first four games this season.  (Too bad I did not have enough gaul to post it to prove it.  I know better next time.)  However, I do have them losing their first game after that 4th win. Maybe I will be right about that too.  Now, what about the Indianapolis Colts?  Despite all of the Staff changes, with the Headcoach and the Offensive Coordinater, it looks like the Colts will be undefeated for a little while longer.  Will the join the 2007 Patriots to go undefeated during the regular season?  Again, absolutely not.  It is bound to happen.  Every one has an off day.  (Too bad the 2007 Patriot's off day was in the Super Bowl against the Giants.)  The Colts will have their's coming when no one will expect it.

Super Bowl Preview

Just because you have a great start, does that mean you will make the playoffs?  Statistics state majority of the time, but not always.  Here are the Playoff Picks. (In order)

In the NFC, it will be the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, and Philadelphia Eagles.  Saints and Vikings would get the first round bye, while wild card games will be Falcons @ Cardinals and Eagles @ Giants.  I have Falcons and Eagles winning leaving us with Falcons @ Saints and Giants @ Vikings.  Lets skip these too and I have Saints and Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.  With Farve returning, this would bring a lot of media and attention to the game.  Plus, Farve will be playing the Saints at New Orleans and that would be one heck of a matchup.  I would give the game to the Saints and going to the Super Bowl.

In the AFC, it will be the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Pittsburgh Steelers.  (I have the Steelers barely edging out the San Diego Chargers for that last spot.)  This mean the Colts and Ravens get the bye while it will be Steelers @ Jets and Patriots @ Broncos.  Both games will not be really that great, in my opinion, and I have the Jets and Patriots moving on.  This will lead up to another New England and Indianapolis playoff game, with Patriots @ Colts and Jets @ Ravens.  Patriots will take the game and Ravens will crush the Jets.  AFC Championship will be Patriots @ Ravens, and, I have to say, Brady will not be back to the Super Bowl this year.  Ravens will go on to meet the Saints.  I will post my Super Bowl prediction when the Super Bowl "hype" begins.  Have fun with the season
