Yeast Infection in Men -- What Are the Symptoms
Most people think that yeast infections are primarily a "woman" thing. But yeast infections in men are quite common, as well. In fact, the reality is that a large percentage of men have had a yeast infection, but didnt know they had it. Lets take the example of a man who goes to the doctor complaining of a constant "bloated" feeling.
You may think that it's probably because of too much beer drinking. Well, drinking beer, especially if not in moderation can cause you trouble... including yeast infection. Now if you drink beer a lot and eat a lot of pizza, rice and/or pasta, you are more likely creating a breeding ground for a balky yeast population.
Yeast can abound in usually unwanted vegetation within a man's gut. If the yeast is successful creating a breeding ground, the immune system is compromised. The body will lack nutrients that it needs, therefore causes fatigue. So, if a man always complains about being tired all the time, it could be a case of yeast infection.
I know that plenty of men who have bad breath. I used to think that it was because they didn't brush their teeth or didnt drink enough water. Although this may be true, also, it could likely be that their gut again is overrun with yeast. While this is symptomatic of yeast infection in men, it has also been found in women too.
Another symptom of yeast infection in men that's not commonly discussed is prostate problems. Overzealous population of yeast in a man's body can affect his prostate and other parts of the body, this is because yeast thrives on sugar.
In some cases, yeast infection in men has been also known to cause impotence. Many doctors these days would rather treat a man with impotence with drugs such as Viagra. But, it also stands to reason that if your body is continually thrashing over yeast / sugar combination and your immune system is compromised, that other bodily functions will suffer as well.
Another common symptom of yeast infection in men is jock itch. The area around the penis and between the thighs is continually itchy. This is also a common problem for women, except it's around their vaginal area. Jock itch can sometimes be brushed off as nothing more than an annoyance. But, it could be symptomatic of a yeast infection.
Yeast infection in men occurs commonly. If this is not taken as a serious matter, it may lead to a more longer term heath problems and may require you to take drugs and even drastic intervention.

Male yeast infection is pretty common, evenif few men are aware of it. Sometimes, it is too late as it will get chronic and needs more time to treat.
