I've already done one hub on perspective in photography but some people seem to confuse it with convergence, on which I've done another hub and you'll find them here under photography.
So I thought I'd do another hub and in looking at perspective which is something of a broad term I was quite surprised how many of the photos showed aspects of convegence, some by accident, some by design, some occurring quite naturally as part of the natural setting of the photo.
Perspective has been described as the way that an object appears to the eye, and not only the human eye, here we have the eye of the camera which must then translate to a perspective both from the photographer and as seen by the viewer.
An experienced photographer understands the concept well and applies it almost automatically but to those less experienced it may at first appear difficult to comprehend.
Some think it just means the conversion of a 3D picture to a 2D photograph, but that of itself requires a lot of explanation.
I think the easiest way for you to grasp the idea is if I take you, once more, through a different series of photos but may I start by giving you the link to my previous hub on perspective and the first image there is a beauty.

You may also like to look up my post on convergence and I think the first image there is even better.
Convergence is part of the perspective, the two terms are NOT interchangeable.
But I think that is enough by way of words and I take you to the photos selected from the web to illustrate perspective not for their superlative photographic excellence although some do have features of that.
