Everybody knows about having a blog, but what why? How about this simple concept: blog value. A blog can actually become an asset. So besides all the obvious advantages of a blog, like free traffic, leads, and income from your own product or affiliate products, you

There is more than one way to calculate blog value, a simple one being to go to:http://www.business-opportunities.biz/projects/how-much-is-your-blog-worth/

This site will tell you your blog value using one single criteria, incoming links. When I enter my URL,

http://escapethtematrix.net/blog, it values it at

$1,129.08. Not very much, darn it. But I would never sell my blog for that little, and I'll show you why.

What's your blog value?
What's your blog value?

According to my analytics program, I'm currently getting 6,093 visits per month. 2,450 of those visitors are from a coop, so we'll take those out of the equation.

So that leaves 3,643 natural, free visitors. What's that worth? Follow me on this: My niche is the network marketing industry, specifically online network marketing. Pay Per Click advertising for online network marketing keyterms costs me an average of .47 cents a click. I get 3,643 visitors per month to my blog for free, but if I DID have to pay for them here's how it breaks down:

3,643 * .47 = $1,712.21 PER MONTH! That's $20,546.52 per year of free trafic!

So, because I own my blog, and follow simple blogging strategies three to four times a week, I get $1,712.21 a month of free traffic. And keep in mind, out of that traffic I also get: -Leads -Book sales -Residual commissions on Lighthouse Marketing System sales. -Affiliate commissions -adsense income

So if you're not blogging, you are missing out on a LOT of value, in both actual dollars in your pocket and money saved on advertising. But you also take advantage of the natural blog value that will rise over time, as you build your own appreciating asset.
