Rev. Eugene Wright II commending Barack

Rise and Fall of Barack Obama

What were the motives of Barack obama when he converted to Christianity from his family atheism? Was he struggling to find the truth? if so, should he have been more careful to examine the heritage that he joined. Dr. Rev. Jeremiah Wright makes no secret of his ties to Black liberationist theologian, Dr. "Jim" cone. If you do a little research in Wikipedia, this is what Dr. James Cone has to say "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love." He also claimed that Jesus was black. I might also mention that the Vedas, indicate that God, Krsna is black as well. Actually, I believe that geneticists know that hte original homo-sapiens was, in fact black, because melanin is a factor that guards against burning by the sun.

Interesting that the Rev Wright has purchased a 10 million dollar mansion in an all-white neighborhood. This seems to be rather incongruent given his apparent dislike for white America, and doesn't really seem to fit in with his Black liberationist Theeology. Now, I'm not a theologian, but I do remember that Jesus taught forgiveness and when He was on the cross at Calvary he said "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." Personally, I am very sorry to hear about the atrocities that Afro-americans have experienced at the hands of the American government, like slavery, lynching , the Tuskegee experiment, and so forth. However, Jesus did say "My kingdom is not of this World." (John 18:36)

It's interesting that over 30 years ago a group of about 2500 Afro-americans left this country to live in the desert of Israel and have been very happy there. After all, most Afro-Americans were brought to this country against their will.

I think when Barack Obama first met him, he may not have accurately sized him up. Rev Wright is a powerful man and I believe he saw right through the insincerity of Barack's "conversion." I think Barack Obama saw his conversion as a necessary stepping stone in his political career, and his conversion was a sham. I think the Rev. Wright knew that Barack was using the conversion as a stepping stone.. I hardly think Barack Obama investigated very much about his pastor at all. And that is one of the problems I have referred to in past hubs. Because Barack's father abandoned him when he was only two, it seems that Barack is susceptible to powerful men's charisma. The first one was Frank Marshall Davis, a man who was Barack's childhood mentor; he was a writer and known communist. Now, it is Dr. Wright who all along, it seems has been a wolf in sheep's clothing, unbeknownst to Senator Obama. Now it is he who is using his disciple's fame to preach the word of Jesus. And, i don't object to that. I happen to feel that one's spiritual life is way more important than some political achievement. maybe this is one of Barack Obama's karmic lessons to be learned. Never underestimate a spiritual teacher's power.

Even Joe Klein of the Times has said that in all his ventures to Black churches he has never seen the kind of antics that are typical of Rev. Wright. Furthermore, Joe says that "Wright's purpose now is to aggrandize himself ...and to be a mainstream media source for racial extremism."

Disclaimer: it is not my purpose here to examine Black Liberation Theology, I am not qualified to do that.

Other theologians have embraced Barack now in his crisis

There are other members of the Black theological community who have rushed to Senator Obama's side commending him on his denunciation of the narcissitic, theatrical, sad performance of Rev Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Association on 4/28/2008. One of them is the Rev. Eugene Rivers III, a prominent Pentacostal minister from Boston.

"Now, it is Dr. Wright who all along it seems has been a wolf in sheep's clothing, unbeknownst to Senator Obama." How can you relieve Mr. Obama of all of his accountablility at choosing this sort company? I for one, can tell you what my church leader preaches and have chosen for myself the way in which I prefer to worship. Did he not have a choice?

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to let Barack off the hook at all. What I meant by that is that Rev Wright "saw him coming". Barack wanted to join a "popular" church. Why? for his political career, not for his salvation. and jeremiah could understand that and now he is revealing how he will use Barack for his own purposes, i.e. becoming a National press celebrity and getting lots of attention for himself. Hope this explains. I persoanlly think that spirituality is of the utmost importance and one needs to examine very carefully one's allegiances in that sector.

Did you use a ouija board to determine the "insincerity of Obama's conversion." Or perhaps it came to you in a dream? Where do you get these delusions? What motivates your hatred of Obama?

did he have a baptism? did he change his name as is usual for Muslim converts to a Christian one? why did he join this particular Black theology church? Because it fits in with everything he's been taught by his Mother, who hated america, to Frank Marshall Davis who was a communist, to Dr. Khali al Masoud who hates the infidels. You need to read more and stop living in a bubble.

Probably the same reasons that motivated hatred towrds GWB, another lying politician who falsified his background to steal power, reap the rewards and do nothing positive for the nation. I think that sums it up.

yes, I was a strong opponent of GWB. However, I kind of appreciate him now. the mortalities during the war on terror were the lowest of any American war, the first free election in Iraq ever, a democracy was established and his last Executive Order is now being used as the basis of a law suit to oust the usurper. At least GWB was an american. Did you hear that they've done away with "hail the Chief"? It's now the "Desert Rose" sung in Arabic. No joke. http://starmaker.today.com
