Unemployment Irony

Where do i begin? Let's start with the resume. Remember when a simple resume in chronological order was good enough? not anymore! now u have to have key words and this and that. funny thing is everyone you see who helps with resumes will tell u something different than the last person. change this change that. add this add that. how about the job centers that are specifically designed to help you get a job? i went to one in westminister,ca and you had to go to a series of workshops just to be available to the good benefits. they continuosly keep reffering me to other workshops. when i was able to see a job counselor they wanted to re-do my resume a few more times. apparantly you need a new resume for each job you apply for. a counselor at one job center said that the "one stop" job centers have numbers they need to get their funding. so they send you in circles basically. i cant confirm this is true but it does make sense, after months of going there and not 1 interview yet. so here comes the irony. there arent enough jobs available but there are millions of job postings. not to mention many of the people that have jobs who i come into contact with arent doing a very good job. im sure u have received a lot of bad customer service yet those people are gainfully employed. another thing...why do i have to be bilingual to get a job? i have traveled outside the u.s. on numerous occasions and 9 times out of 10 they speak their language only. i wont go into "conspiracy theories" or get into politics i will just say their is so much irony with our unemployment.
