Unfair treatment in the work place
75dealing with discrimination
With the economy being as it is it's, is truly a blessing to have a Job ; money in the hand is a necessary thing when bill time rolls around. millions of Americans in the U S and around the world travels the road ways daily as they commute to their life sustaining jobs, although this is suppose to be a good thing this is simply not true for some. the work place can be a very dark and dreadful place if those who are in supervisory positions is tainted with the contaminates of racism. on jobs like this, discrimination is boldly displayed without fear of retaliation, thinking themselves to be far more important than the lowly employees that work for them, they tend to treat people in a way that is unfair and unjust. not everyone have to endure this discriminatory behavior just to earn a paycheck because there are those who are exempt from it all based of their skin color, the right color affords you special amenities that is strictly off limits to others, therein lies the question; how do you deal with it ? flying off the handle is not the right answer.usually talking to the boss will get you nowhere since he's normally the one doing the discriminating. nobody has a right to treat you less than human no matter what color they are, discrimination is an ugly cancer that eat away at the vary soul of America; but there is things one can do to defend oneself against unruly bosses. first you need to do some research on discrimination law to determine if you have some legal ground on which to stand, after that talk with others to find out if there is others that feel the same; there is strength in numbers. be careful to check to find out your employment status, you may be a at will employee which means that your boss can fire you at will and without reason as long asĀ it is not illegal. increase your chances of wining by documenting everything, this include taking pictures in a discreet way, if the boss calls you into the office please write down the date, time and outcome of the conversation, this will help your case in court, here's one that will surely ruffle your boss feathers, try going over his head, he's really going to be out to get you after that so be warned. if that does happen there are laws to protect you from such retaliation and I will address that issue in part 2 of this subject that's coming out in a couple of weeks.

I have a situation where my a co-worker that has worked in the office for 15 years is constantly harrassing other employees including myself. She screams at people she puts people down and the HR manager who is my boss hears it and does not say anything or puts a stop to it. I tried to defend myself from this person by telling her to stay away from my desk unless it's work related and now im getting a write up because my boss is scard of this employee. My boss masked this write up by calling it a daily performance review and tried to get me to sign it but i read a sentence that said next time i will be terminated. Thats when it hit me that i was getting written up. Do i have a case here?
Unfair treatment in the work place can come in different form, here is a web site that will help you determine if you should pursue legal action. from your comment I get the impression that your case may be racially motivated, http://www.fcc.gov/owd/understanding-harrassment.h
