So you think you've found the person you want to spend the rest of your life. Congratulations! Now you just need a fun and unique way to pop the question. I'm hear to help with that! I have several unique ways of proposing to the person you love that will have them retelling the story of your engagement for years to come!

Before you decide on a way to propose there are a few things you should consider. You need to think about the person you are proposing to. If they are quiet and reserved and embarass easily then you probably shouldn't do a big public proposal. At the same time if you are with a person who loves to be the center of attention and would want to share this moment with the world then you probably shouldn't propose on a quiet evening at home with no one else around!

Idea #1: Jones Soda Bottle

This idea is centered around a customized Jones Soda Bottle. You can visit their website to order customized bottles. The idea is that you put a picture of yourself down on one knee holding the ring on the bottle, or even just the words "X, will you marry me?" on the label. Then when you are at home one night you offer your girlfriend (or boyfriend) a bottle of the soda and when they see the label you get down on one knee and propose! This works best if you plan to propose at home.

If you do decide to propose with the assistance of a Jones Soda bottle then it would also be fun to get customized Jones Soda as the favor at your wedding reception!

Idea #2: Ferris Wheel

This is actually how my husband proposed to me! We got together with a bunch of our friends and went to the fair for the day. He asked if I would go on the ferris wheel with him and all of our friends came up with excuses not to go with us. While we were up in the air my husband (then my boyfriend of course!) told me to look down below. When I looked all of our friends were holding up a great big sign that said "Will You Marry Me?" I turned back and he was holding the ring. It was very unique and very public. Expect a lot of people to come up and say congratulations and ask a lot of questions!

Idea #3: Scavenger Hunt

Send your significant other on a scavenger hunt that leads them to a bunch of places that are significant to your relationship. Some ideas of places would be where you had your first date, where you first kissed, a favorite place to hang out, etc. At the last stop on the hunt you are there waiting with the ring to propose! You can customize this one perfectly and decide if you want other people involved or just the two of you!

Idea #4: A puzzle

You can make customized photo puzzles at places like Snapfish.com which leads to a fun way to propose! Take a picture of yourself holding the ring or a sign that says "will you marry me?" Then you have the picture made into a puzzle that you can give your significant other as a gift. If you two are really into puzzles then this is perfect! Don't tell them what the puzzle if - which makes the puzzle harder to do. Sit down and do the puzzle together. They may guess part way through what it is or what it says and you can choose to make them finish the puzzle or propose right when they figure it out!

Idea #5: Board Game

You can do this one in a group or just the two of you. Suggest playing a board game like trivial pursuit. Before you start the game clue everyone else in to what you are doing (if you have a group of people) and place a customized card in the card box and certain number of cards in. When you get to the card (make sure no one else gets the card) then you can say "okay, here is the question - X, will you marry me?" It will probably take a second for it to sink in that you just proposed, so pull out the ring and ask again!

I hope this gave you some good ideas for your proposal and if nothing else gave you a starting point to come up with your own unique idea! Good Luck!
