I Need Help With Choosing A Baby Boy Name!

When I found out we were pregnant with our second child, I was ecstatic! Since we already had a boy, pretty much everyone around us wanted a girl...I wasn't sure if I was ready for a girl. I already had a boy, saved tons of items, and kind of already knew what to expect. I've always gotten along better with boys, so if I had girl, what would our relationship be like? I'm also more of a tomboy and not into the hair, nails, makeup and all of that "girly" stuff. With my luck, I'd have a girly girl that would drive me crazy!

The day I went in for my ultrasound (it was my hubbies birthday in fact), there were 6 other family members who accompanied me, all waiting in anticipation, swearing by the fact (I think it was wishful thinking) that I was going to have a girl. When the ultrasound tech showed everyone it was a girl, I couldn't help but laugh. Just about everyone was somewhat disappointed (except for hubby - although he would have liked to have a daddy's girl, we both just wanted to know the baby was healthy). They had been bombarding me with girls names for weeks - luckily for them they hadn't actually started buying things yet. Who knows, they still may get their girl someday...

So, I left the hospital happily knowing I would have another boy. Now, I had to deal with the next large task at hand - Picking a baby boy NAME! Choosing a name for our oldest son wasn't hard. Hubby already knew what he wanted to name him when I was about 5 months, and I liked the name as well, so it was over and done with quickly. But I always said since he chose the name the first time, it was my turn with the next baby (of course, we both have to agree on the name). Since everyone swore it was a girl, and they had me convinced, I had decided on a girls name. So, if I ever have a girl, as of right now, I know what her name would be.

Now, I think I put too much pressure on myself.Every time I start to look at baby names, the names start to spin around in a blur. When I think about choosing a name, I get a headache! Do I expect too much? I want a name that is unique, but not too unique (I don't like common or popular names). I prefer a name that has a biblical background or strong meaning behind it. But there are so many names out there that when I begin to start looking, I get overwhelmed!

After all, this little boy has to carry this name with him for the rest of his life. I want his name to have meaning to God, us, and him. I want it to be a name he is happy with, that's not too hard to pronounce....do I want too much?! I think most parents go through the same thing when trying to choose a name. Usually, though, I think it's tougher with the first child. In my case, it's harder with the second child!

I picked up one baby names book, but the names began to run together, so I gave up on looking in books. I have found some good baby names sites. So far, my favorite is Baby Names World. I've saved a few of the names my hubby and I like and continue to search a little more here and there when I can bear the thought of it.

To date I am 36 weeks pregnant - which means I can pretty much have the baby anytime between now and the next 4 weeks. What if I go into labor, and still don't have a name?!

If you have any unique boy name suggestions, please drop a comment. I would really appreciate it! If you know the meaning, please include that as well. If not, that's fine, I'm sure I will be able to find it somewhere.
