58In Search of Peace and Unity
Peaceful – free of turmoil, commotion or conflict, quiet, calm, keeping peace.
Unity – a union of parts forming a complex whole. ~ Gage Canadian Dictionary
I would love to visit and learn about your world. I would love to learn about the plants, your architecture, history, future, food, dance, music and am open to learning to say, I love you and hello, in your language. When can we set a date?
Curiosity in the beauty of your land and culture has me fascinated with you and yours. I do not seek to take anything from you but may weave a part or two into my own world. I would then teach and share with my children, all about you and our worlds. A gift of great value and knowledge for our children.
I admit that minor squabbles do exist in my world. There is no such thing as perfect but we are learning to change without resorting to death or violence. Pride and forgiveness can be found for each other. We just have to be able to admit and accept, making or acting, on wrong choices.
The possibility of creating a world where people, business and goods can travel around and be met by friendly lands, is a reality for some of our nations. A dream of many people, including me, that we hope, will extend to everybody around the world.
Peace and unity is the ability to freely live, learn and work with others without violence . Communicate with a person from a distant land or next door. Share and exchange knowledge, skills, goods and speak of future goals and dreams for you, me, our children and our nations with trust, acceptance and respect.
I believe that Peace lies in front of us. In order for Peace to become a reality is when we are able to release hostilities toward others. Unity can be achieved when we can accept that we are only a tiny part of the 195 countries in our world.
I enjoy observing how the different nations makes for a interesting and curious World and inevitability for finding a new friend, ‘Hello Hubbers and World !’ Could you walk down the street with me and carry our individual National flags in one hand and share holding a flag of Peace between us?
'You'll never have a quiet world till you knock the patriotism out of the human race'. ~ George Bernard Shaw

DameScribe, this is a nice contribution to the peace Hubs. You've expressed nice sentiments. I have to say, though, that I disagree with George Bernard Shaw about patriotism. I think it's possible for people to be patriotic in a healthy way, without being "blind" or "nuts" with it. :)
