I hae been an unix administrator for the past 15 years. i have worked on many flavors of unix including SGI IRIX, AIX, HP-UX, Tru64, Solaris, and Linux.

I tried to automate much of my daily admin tasks with scripts. I would like to share some of them here.

I have many code snipetts I will be posting here. I just need to add comments to them and clean them up to make sure they do not violate any intellectual property agreements.

I have written scripts to keep an inventory of systems and software, rotate logs, problem detect and notification, security audits, user ID management, backup and recovery, and many others.

By submittig these scripts to the world I hope that others can benefit from my work.   Feel free to comment on them and propose changes / improvements.
