Unlocked iPhones: Are They Worth It?
62
The iPhone is one of the coolest phones that you can get your hands on. Unfortunately it is also one of the most exclusive. There are some phones that can be used no matter which cell phone provider you have - but with the iPhone it can only be had through AT&T. Or can it?
When it comes to technology nothing is safe from hackers and people who understand what they are doing! There are many people who will purchase these phones and unlock them for you. When they are unlocked it makes it available and open to you to be able to use it no matter which plan you have.
These unlocked CDMA phones will cost you a large amount of money - but in return you get one of the most versatile phones that are on the market. But you need to think carefully before you can do this. One of the disadvantages to this are the many updates that this phone requires.
The iPhone needs an upgrade close to once a month and without this some programs are out of reach. You can upgrade an unlocked iPhone - but once you do Apple and AT&T will recognize this and will relock it making it once again inaccessible. You can always try to find someone to unlock it again - but this might cost you more money.
