79Looking for the wedding dress of your dreams can be a challenge. Not only do you need to take into account fashions, your body shape and prices but you also want your wedding dress to be unique. In their search for uniqueness some brides end up with some astonishing dresses that remain in our memory for years, while others unfortunately end up with some major wedding dress disasters.
Here you will find a photo gallery of some unusual, but unique wedding dresses that I found online. Some are incredibly romantic while others are super sexy bordering on the tacky side, others are just plain ridiculous. I’ll leave it to you to judge these dresses. Personally I think that if the bride was happy wearing the dress, and it made her feel unique, then it was all worth it, after all, who are we to judge and make fun of someone else’s taste?

I actually looked at a similar dress to the American one for my wedding. The hubby was standing behind me when I opened this, and he voiced his favorites, of course. Can you imagine?????

I'm not sure what to say, except I wouldn't be caught dead in most of them. What does the bride in the toilet paper dress do if it rains on her wedding day? I think the first gown was very dramatic.

dink - it's called 'fashion tape' or 'wardrobe tape' or any number of other things depending on where you get it and what brand it is. The basic idea is that you stick one side of the tape to the fabric and the other side to your skin in the location you wish your clothing to stay.
And, I imagine, hope like mad it'll stay there (-:Great hub - and a lot of dresses I wouldn't wear in a million years!
Well, some of these should be mandatory for the bride's maids. For myself, can I borrow the one with the long train? After the ceremony, we can hand it up like a tent and have the reception under there. Fun hub, and sexy too!

What a lovely collection of dresses here, some of them really had guts to wear them to the altar. kudos to woman power, i feel they all followed their heart and to that hats off!!

Shirley and LondonGirl: I admire these women for wearing those dresses; it requires courage and self confidence plus a big dose of craziness to wear them. There are some of them that I would definitely not wear like the newspaper or toilet paper dress (like you said Shirley, what if it rains) or the zombie ones –I think that would scare the groom and guests! . But I would definitely wear some of them like the one worn by Dita or the ones on the Romantic collection.

i really did want to wear that dress, princessa!! We couldn't get it in time for the wedding, though. My hubby is the #1 Dallas Cowboys fan, so we opted for a Cowboys wedding, instead. I wore traditional white, but all the guys wore Dallas Cowboys attire. Except my dad. He refused.
Imagine that... LOL YOu are right Princessa, I guess each bride has their own unique idea on how they want to look like on their wedding day. I'm still smiling with disbelief though...imagine all that! LOL
Proud Mom: A cowboy wedding must be fun and an American bride dress would have been super original. Maybe for a future wedding anniversary? My mom celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with a big party and a church ceremony, it was just like a wedding.
Ripplemaker: some of the dresses are a bit over the top, but they will make sure that you never get invited to some else’s wedding LOL
There do seem to be, in general, a lot of strapless wedding dresses out there. It's a shame, because they aren't very flattering on most women.
I think that when my daughter gets married, I would prefer she wears one of the traditional dresses! Who knows if I get my wish! Thanks for the enlightening hub!

some of the dresses where abit out there i wouldnt wear a wedding dress thats got hardl any thing to it but they were good fun to look at all these dresses.
the on with the long train that had to be heavy to wear when walking with it i think it was pointless why its got no use and just looks rediculase.
