”While I Have You’re
Attention”
Drugs

I have heard more than once that the United States does not rid our shores of illegal drugs because illegal drugs are a measurable part of our gross nationalproduct. If this is true, shame on you USA. If it is not true, shame on you once again, for what you have not done to keep this insidious poison off our streets and out of the veins of our children.

There are quite a few countries in this world where illegal drugs are virtually non-existent. Why, because if your caught trafficking and/or using, you can kiss your miserable ass good-by! Period! In the USA, well, you know the routine. Your in, your out, your in, your out, months and years pass and the beat goes on. Lawyers, civil rights groups, appeals, probation, for Christ sake it’s a wonder anyone remembers the original charge. Eventually you either wind up DOA from an overdose or shot in a drug deal gone south. Then again if you’re lucky, you’ll simply be jailed a dozen times for bad checks, burglary, dealing, or worse. One or more will occur if you users continue your suicide missions.

It has come to just that in this country. Both the availability and use of illegal drugs are completely out of control!

Danger, Danger, Danger!

Today, the general attitude about drug use is “Yeah, he’s a crack head, sure, he does a rock every once in a while so what?” “Hey Marge, I hear you got a new frig.”

Drug use has become so commonplace that our original knowledge and attitude towards the insidious nature of drugs like cocaine, crack, and heroin has all but vanished from our once alert and concerned minds Sadly, we now accept drug use as a part of our everyday lives and assume we can do little about it.

I hope I don’t have to expound on what hard drug use does to our young adults, their families, friends, community, law enforcement, hospitals, prisons, the crime rate, lost productivity, our children, and billions on top of billions of wasted dollars.

Once again, the extreme reigns. Once again we’re pushing the envelope. Over the last few decades the social and economical damage due to illegal drug use in the US has become astronomical. Just as aids jumped from one person in 1981 to tens of millions by 2002,
illegal drug use has infected every corner of our nation and is every bit a family busting killer as is aids. There is one major distinguishing difference however. We can stop drug use cold! All we have to do is want to.

Nute Gingridge, while Speaker of the House many years ago and on television, while directing his comments to major drug cartels said: “If we catch you bringing drugs into this country,
we are going to kill you!”

Oh my God! I almost fell off my chair. Finally, somebody with the clout, somebody with the political onions to set a president for this countries war on drugs and it’s dying, drug guzzling young. That was a long time ago and apparently nothing much changed.

It’s not that we are doing nothing at all. There have been scores of drug fighting, federal officers, military and local police gunned down in the fight to save our country from this scourge. These true American hero’s have all but died in vein because we haven’t as yet declared all out war on this incredible danger to our children and our society. It’s
pretty obvious that this country could do a lot more if it chose. Lets look at a few reasons why we’ve lost the drug war in this country so far.

One… Money is one issue for sure but it's not that we don’t have enough to get the job done it's just that our spending priorities are no where near what they should be. Drug use is destroying the infrastructure of this country let alone costing us billions of dollars every
year. If that shouldn’t be a top 5 priority I don’t know what should be.

Two…After decades of observation, I certainly seems to me that there just isn’t enough public or governmental interest to input whatever is required to get drugs and the slime that make them available off the streets of this country once and for all, and for good and that my friends, is a God damn shame!

Three… The average criminal in this country has more rights than anyone on earth ever had and as a result, our judicial system is broken practically beyond repair. A major portion of that blame can be squarely laid on the shoulders of our tens of thousands of attorney’s that don’t seem to care about a thing except technicalities, trivialities, show business, legal loopholes, and of course, mega-bucks.

In the “Solutions” section at the end of this book I’ll get into this catastrophe a bit more in depth and offer a simple way to stop these nit-picking attorney’s right in their tracks. Solving chronic problems is in fact a problem of ours in that we can’t seem to recognize an emergency situation even when it bites us on the ass. Illegal drugs, 200 million guns in the hands of practically anyone including military weapons designed for the sole purpose of wholesale killing, out of control young people, the aids plague and so on. All national emergencies, are all battles portions of our government has been fighting for years and years, and loosing for years and years.

The problem is we’ve been fighting these wars with peacetime rules and that’s why we’re getting our butts kicked.

When an emergency occurs such as the exponential growth of drug abuse in this country we continue to observe every little picayune law and custom we’ve been collecting for the last 200 years. The enemy has no rules or customs it follows and it does not need permission to tap a phone or break down a door. The enemy is as free as a bird to fight us in any way shape or form it pleases including murder. We on the other hand, are encumbered by tens of thousands of rules, regulations, laws, procedures, customs, local this, federal that, and
every Goddamn time a law enforcement agent looks at the enemy in the wrong way, he’s besieged by our own bleeding heart individual’s, organizations, religions, and media that take all his bullets away, tie his feet together, and warn him not to break any traffic laws while pursuing an enemy that is a professional, well equipped mercenary out to kill us all and doing a damn good job of it I might add. It’s no wonder we can’t whoop these bastards. Our namby-pamby peacetime bureaucracies couldn’t defeat a well-organized Girl Scout troop.

I’ll discuss this pathetic issue with a bit more direction in the Solutions chapter and offer a few new emergency wartime rules that could turn the tide practically overnight.

The blame my friends falls squarely on you, me, and what we tell our government to do or not to do! period! The devastation caused by illegal drug use in this country is not even conceivable  Nikita Kruschev once said, “We will destroy you from within.” Lord if he only knew then how easy it would have been and how much money he could have made in the process.

When a dealer sells even one crack rock to an addict or a kid for the first time, just as with the person knowing he has aids and still engages in indiscriminate sex, it should be considered a conspiracy to murder. Now days, it happens millions of times a day in this country and few citizens even pay any attention anymore. Here lie’s the problem and the danger. The Up One Level root cause of this stomach turning genocide is simply your complacency! No doubt about it! “Don’t tread on me!” right? Not any more! It now reads: “I don’t give a damn what you do to my neighbor, just don’t tread on me personally.” If you wanted this crap off the streets bad enough, you would have your wish practically overnight.

How many Federal drug czars has your government appointed in your time? Do you remember any of they’re names? Do we have one now? Do you keep track of they’re failures or
accomplishments? Are we winning the war on drugs?

No, no, no, and no are the answers, correct?

I’m afraid you’re going to have to change your attitude if you give a rats ass about our dying children and the pathetic decline of your society.

Our government and the people in it are no different than any of us and what they do as a whole, depends on what we tell them to do as a whole. These people are not gods or miracle workers but they are astoundingly capable of miracle-like accomplishments provided they have the direction and support of the people of this once great nation.

The relationship is akin to that of a parent and a teacher. The teacher can accomplish little without the participation and the support of the parent.

If you want drugs off our streets and out of this country you had best start participating right now! Turning your heads and relying on our government alone will not get the job done. It has grown way too big a problem for our government to fight by itself which is a direct result of your head turning complacency. The street corner dealer is aiding and abetting the slow, horrendous, death of the addicted, all that share his world, and all the massive negative effects the two combined inflict on the community and the nation. Period! End of story! These dealers must be stopped if we have to shoot them where they stand!
