Biggest question I get

One of the biggest questions I get from readers of my blog is what do I do if the upgrade breaks my blog. With upgrades like the new WordPress 2.7 which has major structural changes the themes and plugins you use may not be compliant with the new versions.

Most people do not realize that if you upgrade properly you can undo the upgrade easily. The real key is to follow the steps listed in the WordPress codex for the 3 step upgrade. You can access it here.

The important part is that if you do these things including ...

  • Data base backup
  • File backup
  • Copy of wp-config.php

It will only take a few minutes to undo everything and be back to what you had before the upgrade.

The video below will walk you through the steps to do just that.

Hope you enjoy it.
