When a Network Marketer’s Loyalty and Friendship with their Upline could cost them their Dreams
41When I started my first at home business involving Network Marketing I was signed up by a friend who was really excited about the products and the Business Opportunity and I was drawn in by her excitement. I purchase a lot (I am not going to tell how many in case my husband reads this post) of Biz Op Leads.
I worked these leads like I was taught by my upline and how the Company expected us to work them. In the most part we were trying to “sell” the Business Opportunity to people who had received numerous phone calls from other Network Marketers, sometimes even from the same Company that I was partnered with.
After approximately 18 months of making thousands of phone calls, both local and overseas (getting up in the middle of the night to make overseas calls), a credit card debt and a husband wondering why I kept trying, I then had to explain to my friend why I could not do it anymore.
Two years have passed since then and a number of opportunities have passed my eyes in my in box but having been burnt once I was extremely tentative of getting involved in an MLM again. I wasn’t until one email I received involved Attraction Marketing training and sparked my interest. This new way of building a Network Marketing business just made sense to me.
I am now generating all the leads that I need.
My new upline is still advocating the purchase of leads is the way to go. I have to disagree Attraction Marketing is the way to go. I am now training my downline how to generate their own leads for free and it is working.
