What Do They Really Do For The Concerned Employee?

Note that all opinions contained within are opinions solely of others obtained privately. To suggest content to be added contact the editor by email at underthebigyellowsign@gmail.com.

As many employees, past and present, know we are trained to seek out our management team with our concerns and problems within the work place. However does it really work the way the handbook outlines it to? Do the Store, District, Division, and Area Managers really give us their full attention and concern over our problems? Do they actively try and resolve or Waffle House problems?

Do couches have wings and eat tofu? No, they don't, or at least not lately.

In all Waffle House employee training, no matter your position, we're taught that when there is a problem we are suppose to talk First with the Unit Manager. This is always suppose to be the first step of our problem solution. Second if the Unit Manager ignores the problem, isn't able to offer a solution, or the problem isn't solved we are to take it to the District Manager. If still no solution is reached we are to take it to the Third on the management chain which would be the Division Manager. When still no solution, Fourth we are to contact our Area Manager. When all else fails we are directed to contact the Waffle House Employee Hotline to report it to our corporate office.

Still yet, issues exist here. Millions and millions of employee issues are ignored, brushed off due to stereotyping certain employees as 'whiners' or 'problem makers'. Not all of our 'Valued" Waffle House Employees voices are heard typically due to stereotype placement given to them from their Management! Isn't that the same thing as discrimination? Why has the choice management of Waffle House choosing to treat us valued employees with such an astonishingly alarming unconcern? Why do the Management get away with breaking the rules and policies our successful cooperation put in place so long ago? We as employees demand an answer!

Trained To Be Managers?

All Waffle House Management are sent to Waffle House University, or W.U. for short. There they are suppose to be extensivly trained to financilly run a Waffle House.  They are also supose to be trained to properly to manage their employees as well.

I'm not saying every Waffle House Manager on any of the Waffle House Management scales is insufecently trained, but once in a while a few slip through unready or unconfident enough to fulfill their duties.  Some have just let their job performance slide and thus for the system that Waffle House has chosen to to properly run a happy place to work is far from the required 'Waffle House Way'.

I must say from personal opinion that a few Waffle House Manager Trainees I have recently met are outstanding!  I hope i have the honor to one day work in their Waffle House unit once their established.  I know of management teams ranging from Waffle House unit managers to Waffle House area management that are amazing and know their job well.  However i know those that have disgraced the Waffle House name.
