Advantages

There are so many factors that are related to environmental awareness that we can not consciously think of all of them. We do things as a matter of habit and rarely stop to think of the impact on the environment, such as in the case of simply turning on the switch that lights the bulb to illuminate our home.

For just a second stop and ponder that decision. Each time you turn on that light with a regular light bulb you consume precious energy that could be reduced by 70% if you used a compact fluorescent energy saving light bulb in place of the incandescent bulb that is standard.

Besides think of the money that will be put back in your pocket. Between 10 and 20 percent of the energy used in commercial buildings is by lighting, so fluorescent lights are not only more energy efficient, but also more maintenance friendly. And that number is 33% with regards to individual homes.

Along with the conservation of energy that leads to the reduction of oil spills, global warming, acid rain and urban smog – using long life energy saving bulbs will significantly reduce our landfills with fewer dead light bulbs having to be disposed of over a longer period of time.
