Can hypnotherapy help my child?

Is your child under pressure with worries, anxieties, phobias or other issues? If so, hypnotherapymay be the answer. Its use in children has been successful with treating behavior disorders, depression and anxiety, and even pain and discomfort. Children 7 years and up respond exceptionally well to hypnotherapy and have amazing results.

What is hypnotherapy? It is the method of using hypnosis to cure an addiction, symptom or even disease. Hypnotherapy in children has helped to treat things like bedwetting, eating problems, thumb sucking, nightmares or sleep problems, fears of animals like dogs or cats, pressure of exams and tests, and much more.

One hypnotherapy technique that is commonly used is called the "blowaway" technique where kids are inducted into a hypnotic state and advised to "blow away" their bad feelings or emotions.

You'll find a lot of other hypnotherapy techniques that are effective in kids also. At the University of Michigan, they are using hypnotherapy by teaching children how to self-hypnotize so they can conquer bad habits, and other problems. The child learns to use relaxation techniques and mental images similar to a daydream or fantasy. Their website is an excellent resource for hypnotherapy in children.

So if you are needing help for your children, instead of depending on high-priced

pills and medicines that could have undesirable side effects, consider hypnotherapy. You will find lots of programs and centers all over the world that have certified hypnotherapists to help you out. One that I have found to be especially effective is the Brigham Hypnosis Clinic.
