Using RSS and Social Media to Break Through Clutter

Although email marketing is helpful in getting the word heard about your products online, it could also be sometimes messy. There are instances that you don't receive your emails on your box instead they are being stored in your spam folder. Also there are some occasions when you can't send messages because of so many spam filters.

Like what happened to Chris Sandberg during last year's presidential election. Chris shared his experience on how spam filters on his email almost prevented him from reading a very important message. You see, Chris owns this political group on Facebook that caters to BYU students and alumni like him. The school's newspaper staff saw his group at Facebook and made an initial contact on him if they can interview him about how politics affects young adults like him. Chris was please to do the interview, so when they asked him for his email address, he immediately gave them. They then told him that they will email him the questions for his interview. Moments have passed yet Chris didn't receive the email. Luckily, he checked out his spam folder and found the email there!

So you see, email marketing can sometimes be disadvantaged because you are not sure whether your messages get through to your customers. Unlike on social networking sites like Facebook, wherein people can send messages in a fast and efficient way. Indeed using RSS and social media to break through clutter is perfect.

nice hub joy! today actually, most people prefer to open their social media accounts rather than their emails, so when you are an internet marketer, taking time to extend your networks on Facebook for example will be greatly beneficial on your part.
