Del.icio.us is an amazing tool. It is an indispensible part of the Pure Profit system I use in my internet business activities. And I can't count the number of blog posts I've read about social bookmarking that list Del.icio.us as one of the top social media sites.
As important as Del.icio.us is as part of your Web 2.0 experience, it is every bit as much an incredibly useful tool. If you aren't already using del.icio.us, you owe it to yourself to explore your options in this application.

Let's Begin Bookmarking
There are many ways to bookmark your favorite pages into your del.icio.us account. I will list the methods that I like best in the order that I like them and will describe how and/or why I use the method.
Tagging With a Browser Button
- Firefox Addons - Del.icio.us Buttons
If you use the Firefox browser, get this addon. It places two buttons and a drop down menu at the top of your browser. Use the "TAG" button to create your bookmarks. The del.icio.us logo button will take you directly to your del.icio.us bookmarks. - Internet Explorer Buttons
Here's an extension for IE that is similar to the one we use in Firefox (just in case you haven't read my hub on the value of Firefox, yet. Here are some other options. - Google Reader + del.icio.us
Here's a script for those of you who prefer to use the Google Reader. Just a note of caution - you should only use scripts from trusted sources. I have not used this script. (I like the Firefox solution.)
Other Cool Ways To Use Del.icio.us
Here are some powerful methods for searching sites that are tagged in del.icio.us.
1. If you are looking for sites related to a specific keyword, type the following into your address bar:
http://del.icio.us/tag/keyword
for example - http://del.icio.us/tag/SEO
2. You can identify the most popular sites in any given category by searching del.icio.us because they track which sites have been bookmarked most frequently. To find the most popular sites, enter the following into your address bar:
http://del.icio.us/popular/keyword
for example - http://del.icio.us/popular/SEO
