My uncle who lives in Boston recently got me a Ps3 with guitar hero world tour(Yipeeee!!!!!) but before i started using it i was so full of questions regarding if an American ps3 would function fine in India.

So i started looking everywhere i could for answers, from people who had a ps3 to the answers of the umpteenth question regarding the same problem people face.

Some were just plain stupid answers which really pissed me off.So i decided to build an FAQ response to the same.(some of them are really silly questions but there are lot of people who really need to know the small details)

1.Do i need a power adapter???
Some people say that you can go on using the ps3 without any adapter but the American ps3 works on 110 volts while in India we have 220 volts power supply .So you need a power supply adapter which brings down the power from 220 to 110 volts.You can get it at any Indian electrical shop.In Delhi you can get it in Nehru place for really cheap if you bargain.and in gurgaon you can get it in reliance trends and vyapar kendra (shushant lok c-block)
just remember to buy a good one.if you want you can use it without but if god forbid anything goes wrong u will just be left with a nice showpiece.You can also see the AMAZON links below and get the stuff .

2.Is it necessary to use an HDTV with the ps3??
If u have an HDTV(LCD,plasma,led) ,nothing like it you can use your hdmi cable and plug in and enjoy the best quality.however if you do not have an HDTV the ps3 will still work with the RCA connector(red,yellow,white connector)

3.I connected my ps3 and i have audio but no video???
This happens when your ps3 is set output to hdmi port .you can turn it to RCA by pressing and holding the on/off button for 5-10 sec.

4.Everything is fine but will the Indian games work in my ps3??
All the blue rays will work fine but the other game Cd's will not.You could get a bunch of them from e-bay or buy them from USA and get them here.Or you can also buy from palika bazaar in Delhi or other places but you should take care as there is a lot of piracy and u might end up with a blank CD.Some other big store and gaming centers also offer ntsc games.

Now the game i got was Guitar Hero World Tour with both the drum and guitar consoles.
So i had some problem with setting it all up

1.The controllers lights up but don't work???
Just press the PlayStation icon for 2 secs and then go to the controller no. and set it to 3 or 4 or 5.it should work now perfectly.

2.How do i connect all the 3-4 consoles together(drums,guitar and mike)??
Connect the mike through the USB cable.
Connect the guitar wireless controller and connect the drums controller into the USB slot in the guitar controller(should be one the side edges)
