USU Head Coach: Stew Morrill
Stew Morrill is the well respected coach of the Utah State Aggies men's basketball team. He has amassed a USU record 267 wins (as of October 14, 2009) with only 91 losses for a winning percentage of .746.
He has led USU to 10 straight post season appearances and 10 straight 20 win seasons. USU is one of only three NCAA teams to have won 23 games in the last 10 years, Gonzaga and Kansas being the others.
Morrill is known for his complex offensive sets that often yield his players high percentage baskets. His teams are often ranked towards the top in the country for feild goal percentage.
Tough defense and disciplined basketball are also hallmarks of a Stew Morrill coached squad. He has an uncanny ability to get the best out of his players and help them compete at a very high level.
USU fans are proud to have Stew Morrill as their basketball coach. They express their pride by affectionatly belting a drawn out "STEEEWWWW" when his name is announced before tip-off. Morrill has commented publicly his appreciation to the fans on several occasions as well. But his most meaningful expression of gratitude toward USU and it's fans has been his determination to stay as the head coach of Utah State University. While Morrill has had many opportunities to coach at bigger institutions, he has expressed no interest in coaching at another school.
