Every problem needs to be analyzed and sort-out before finding its solution, likewise every illness. A large number of people in the world have had or still do have a skin condition known as acne. It comes in different varieties. Not all acne looks the same nor it can be cured using the same treatment.

The two most common types of acne are acne vulgaris and acne rosacea. Acne Vulgaris's most common form, includes several different kinds of pimples. It occurs during adolescence years of a person's life. Over 85 percent of teens have this form of acne. It frequently continues into adulthood, and there is no way to predict how long it will take to disappear.

The other most common type of acne, acne rosacea, is very similar to acne vulgaris. It's mostly found on people over the age of 30. A person with this acne type may have red rash on the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. They may see bumps, pimples, skin blemishes, and their blood vessels will seem more visible.

Acne congoblata occurs due to hereditary reasons and there is no explanation why a person gets this form of acne. It occurs mostly in males, on the chest, upper arms and back. It leaves behind visible scars and there is no cure for it.

Severe forms of acne, include Pyoderma Faciale. This form only affects females between the ages of 20-40. It causes large, painful, pus filled bumps on the face, which may leave behind scars. This condition may begin abruptly on a woman who has never had acne before. It usually does not last longer than 1 year, but can wreak havoc in a short time.

Another severe form of acne is called gram-negaitve folliculitis. This is a bacterial infection characterized by pustules which are inflamed, red, pus-filled bumps. This form of acne may possibly occur as a complication resulting from a long term antibiotic treatment of acne vulgaris. It's a very rare condition, not sure who it is most common in. Luckily, Isotretinoin (Accutane) has proven to be effective for this form of acne.
