Vacation on Marco Island
51
If you have never visited Marco Island you are missing out on this 'last paradise'. As you cross over the Judge Jolley Bridge you will have to catch your breath from the beautiful sight ahead of you. The Island of only 5x7 miles in dimension will thrill the boater, the beach-goer, the swimmer, the shopper. For such a small space there is so much to offer! This city offers the visitor movies in the park, outdoor music, art and craft fairs, outdoor markets etc. for FREE!
If you are lucky enough to be here 4th of July (plan now for next year) you will have the time of your life! On a barge surrounded .....not too close.....by private boats are the fireworks starting after sundown and after a full day of beach entertainment for kids and adults alike.
The Art League is always busy preparing for another event. There is a live theater and a movie theater that serves food, lunch and dinner, not just snacks.
Visitors have their choice of hotels, inns, condos and private home rentals. My best advice is not to wait until the last minute to book your vacation in paradise. Though this Island is not well-known those who have visited come back time and time again.
Another plus is the proximity to the City of Naples, FL. If there is something missing from Marco Island it will be available in Naples. The only things I can think of are
1. Caribbean Gardens Zoo,
2. The Philharmonic
3. Many gourmet restaurants.
Pick up some tourist magazines at the Chamber of Commerce or just about every restaurant and Real Estate office for discounts and save!
You will also enjoy amazing sunsets as well. What could be better?
