It also tends to be safer to travel in pairs or small groups. There is always someone to watch the bags while the other buys tickets or goes to the bathroom. And it is very helpful to have someone else to consult when there are problems. This can be a very useful resource, as there are two separate wallets, in case one gets stolen and two heads to find solutions. Also, if you can find someone who is bilingual, this can be a great advantage when traveling to other countries like Mexico.

Singles vacations tend to be in areas where the night life is fairly active. Since you don't have limitations put on you by a husband or kids, why not enjoy the evening? There is no reason to head back to your hotel at a decent hour!

If you are interested in tours, there are plenty that cater specifically to singles and include stops at clubs and taverns along the way. They feature activities designed for the single person, although if you decide to hook up with someone from the tour, this is certainly not discouraged.

There are even singles cruises available from major cruise ship companies that cater specifically to the unattached. These cruises can be a blast, with no kids allowed and round the clock fun. Activities include pool parties, shore leaves in exotic locations and special hookup activities.

Doing vacations as a single person doesn't need to be intimidating. There are more than enough options out there to keep you busy and happy while on your vacations to anywhere in the world.
