Vacuum Cleaner Bags
69Vacuum cleaners that have bags have been around for a long time. This is due to the fact that they work on a simple principle. The bags are replaceable and work as a filter that traps dirt and other things on your floor that are sucked in by the vacuum cleaner hose. Once the bags are filled with debris they have to be taken to the garbage and replaced with a new bag.
Even if you go with a trusted brand and get good quality bags like Kirby vacuum cleaner bags or Miele vacuum cleaner bags, what happens when you can’t find the bags for your particular model. This can be a real problem since there are many different models and the parts and accessories are not always available.
Even if you have the best vacuum cleaner in the world, at some point in the future you will need to replace the bags. A solution to the bag dilemma is to get a bagless vacuum. Instead of a bag they use a cup or a chamber to hold the dirt. Once the cup is full you simply take it out of the vacuum and then place it in the trash. So which type is better for you, with bags or bagless? The pros and cons of each are listed below so you can decide for yourself.

Although a bagged vacuum cleaner requires that you change the bag when it becomes full, this is a very easy thing to do. However, the real issue is that it is hard to tell when the bags are totally full. If you wait too long then it is bad for your vacuum and your floors are left dirty. If you take the bag out too soon then you are not being efficient and are wasting your money.
To solve this problem more recent vacuums come equipped
with an indicator light that tells you when the bag is full. The good thing
about a vacuum cleaner bag is that it is very cheap. Replacing the bags is not
really going to put you in the poor house.
An advantage to bagged vacuum cleaners is that the cleanup is very clean. You
never have to subject yourself to the dirt that is within the bags. This is in
contrast to the bagless vacuums that make you come into contact with the dust
and dirt that is inside your vacuum.
Bagless Vacuum Cleaners
Bagless
vacuums are advertised as more user-friendly and less messy, but they do not
live up to these claims. Sure, you are able to see exactly how full your
container is so you don’t need to worry about checking it all the time. The
problem is that when you remove the container the contents sometimes get back
into the air and then settle back on your floor. Obviously this is not what you
want to happen. You also usually have to put your hand in the container to
scrape the bottom and get every last piece of debris. If this isn’t enough of a
hassle, you also have to brush, wash, and dry the filters. Some models even
require you to replace the filters.
While using vacuum cleaner bags are the cleanest way to clean your home, there
are still pros to using the bagless variant. You don’t have to hassle with
replacing bags and you also don’t have to buy new bags ever again. You can also
retrieve something you accidentally vacuumed by simply opening the container. Bagelss
vacuums are the dominant type on the market today and this fact speaks volumes
about where the manufactures want the consumers to use.
