Get a Vacuum Sealer and Save Time, Money and Work!
63Smart moms have known for quite some time that a vacuum sealer is one of the most important and economical kitchen accessories they can own. A vacuum sealer will allow you to give your family a healthier menu and save money on groceries at the same time.
Everybody knows that the healthiest things you can eat are fruits and vegetables. For that reason, a lot of us have our own gardens -- and herein lies the problem. What happens every year when everybody's zucchini and cucumber plants are producing? There is a ton of this stuff right? Well, with vacuum food sealers we no longer end up throwing away nature’s bounty.
We can take fresh fruits and vegetables at the height of their nutritive potency, and freeze them for future use. For this reason, a vacuum sealer bag is a homemaker's best friend.
Another way that a vacuum food sealer will help you save money, is when the grocery store makes the same mistake you did when you planted your cucumbers. Just like you have a big box full of cucumbers that you're trying to palm off on your neighbors, your local grocery store sometimes mismanages its purchasing. That's when they end up with huge piles of produce that are marked way down below regular price.

Food Sealers make winter into summer!
Normally you might glance wistfully at all that great food being sold for next to nothing. But if you gone out and gotten yourself a rival seal a meal vacuum food sealer or perhaps the popular Tilia vacuum sealer, you can take advantage of your grocery stores miscalculation.
Now you can scoop up all that extra food, take it home, blanch it and freeze it. Next winter, when everyone else is depending on Mrs. Smith's frozen fruit pies -- your family will be eating fresh apple pies, with all the goodness in nutrition of the pies they had in summer.
You can also use your vacuum sealer to help you plan your family's menu and to cut way down on cooking time. This may sound counterintuitive, but hear me out. Picture this -- it's Sunday afternoon, the kids are out playing in your husbands on the golf course. You could kick back and watch a romantic comedy while eating way too many Doritos.
But you got a better plan. Instead you break out a couple of 5 quart Dutch oven's and make a big batch of stew, and the big batch of chili. After the food cools you can go one of two directions:
Either bust the stew in Chile into individual frozen servings or save them in large family size portions. Either way, you've just cut way down on your food prep time.
Make one meal into three
I once read somewhere that most of his eat the same 10 meals over and over, and I know it's true for me and my family. If you stop and think about it I bet you guys do the same thing. We'll given that fact, why not start making double or even trust a triple recipes? Now I know that not every dish can be frozen. But at least part of every meal can.
For example, tonight we're having tacos. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to make a triple batch of taco meat, and three times as many onions is I'll actually need for tonight. You've already got the frying pan out before he got the knife and cutting board out and it doesn't take any more time to cook three times as much as it does a single meal's worth.
So what's is going to get me? Well when we go to have tacos again in a week or 10 days, all I have to do is thought out the meat and onions, and heat them up in the microwave. Then all that's left is a great cheese diced tomatoes and lettuce and pop the taco shells in the oven for 10 minutes. My family can enjoy fresh homemade tacos with less than 15 minutes prep time.
Do fewer dishes when you have a vacuum sealer!
And finally, something you probably haven't considered. Cleanup time and effort. Remember when I made all that talk on the diced all those onions? Will I get three meals worth of cooking and I only had to wash the frying pan once so not only am I cutting way down my prep time but by using a vacuum sealer to store food for future use, I'm also cutting way down on cleanup.
If you've taken the time to read through this article, I find hard to believe that you won't go online or down to your local department store tonight to get a vacuum food sealer of your own.
