Good nerdy gifts? Read on...

The tekkies are always tricky to buy for. I've recently discovered some excellent gifts that many of them wouldn't think to buy.

One gift that everyone in my family loved getting this Christmas was the GorillaPod, a flexible, why-didn't-I-think-of-that kind of gift. It's great! It's a tripod with flexible legs that can wrap around most anything, allowing for creative timed shots. Check it out. They also have larger pods for Digital SLR cameras and the like.

Electric youth!

For the geek with lots of gadgetry, absolutely give them the PowerSquid surge protector. It's great! It has bendable arms and is much more user-friendly than your normal surge protector. I have one, and I love it!

Even more tekkie treasures...

Another site that is marvelous for unique gifts is the moma store. Check out these über-sexy collapsible CARDBOARD speakers. They're so geekychic, I can't even take it. http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma/ProductDisplay_Cardboard%20Speakers_10451_10001_16442_-1_11548_11552_null__

However, far and away the best site for excellent geek gifts is thinkgeek.com, always an intriguing shopping experience. http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/

Best of luck with your shopping! I'm sure you'll find something just perfect for your tech-loving pal.

great suggestions! I have to admit that I have a power squid and LOVE it. I could never go back to a power strip again. Thanks!
