Cheese On Top Of Toast

There's something about melted cheese that makes eating good, although the fattening thought of cheese blocking your arteries makes me want to puke, but addicted to melted cheese in all it's many forms is what makes it so attractive.

Stringy melted cheese on pizzas with all the extra toppings just falling off the pizza!

I like cheese!

Cheese Sauces On Top Of Cheese On Top Of Toast?

When I was at college, times were hard, and lazy days just seemed to filter through into my hectic learning schedule, and I remember one particular year there was a can of powdered cheese sauce that seemed to stare at me through the tiny gap between the cupboard and this carried on for a few weeks, until one day I grabbed the can and decided to make some sauce (eh?) and then pour it on top of my cheese on toast, but an unexpected thing happened, like it does, the cheese sauce became clogged, so I had a thought of melting cheese into it, so that it would be well more cheesier.

And it did, but then I thought of making this into a rather more of an experiment, so I reached for the pepper, salt, brown sauce (careful!) herbs and oregami, but the paper swan had no effect, so I put that in the bin, I then added other tiny seasoning such as paprika and whatever I could find.

And I've got to tell you this was the best cheese on toasty that I have ever had, but I never did write down exactly the essential ingredients, much like George and his marvellous medicine, it was a random act of of utter randomness.

Cheeeeeezzzyyyyy Peeeeeaaaassss!!!!!!!!!!!!

Classic Cheese On Toast

The cheese on toast that I always remember as a kid was the orange cheese, but as I grew older I seem to prefer the yellow cheese as when you melted it and slightly crispied it under the grill it tasted somewhat better.

The classic cheese on toast option is great on it's own but....

Try these...

Other cheese combos that help with your cheese on toast fancies:

  • Cheese and onion
  • Baked bean and cheese
  • Cheese and mushroom
  • Cheese and pickle
  • Sardines and cheese
  • Cheese with Worcester sauce

Well I like the white mozerralla, especially when you crisp the cheese slightly under the grill and it melts and drips all over your plate and down your chin, yeah it's supper time!!
