VEGETARIAN SALAD PIZZA RECIPE

Living a vegetarian life is always a fun, you are free from cholesterol and excess fatty foods which also poses one’s life to a great danger of getting obese, heart attack or coronary disease. Though to many, living a vegetarian life is a very difficult one, but once you make it a priority, it is as simple as counting ABC.

For those who are already practicing vegetarian life, I hope this article would enlighten you more on how to prepare a delicious Vegetarian Pizza Salad which you can serve your family as dinner. I do also know that we have many fast food joints out there where one can purchase an already made one, but there is always a joy in preparing what you consume, at least you are assured of the content and freshness plus it is healthy and 100 percent vegetarian. And nothing beats your own cooking!

If you're really into cooking, you can always make your pastry

Yourself. I bet you, It isn't difficult to make, but it is time-consuming though. Like my cousin who is a vegetarian as well my vegetarian mentor, she prefers to buy a pre-made pizza pastry from a natural foods store, so all she has to worry about are the toppings. While it's baking up

all hot and bubbly in the over, she usually put together a big green salad for a delicious meal any night of the week. Pizzas are also a great idea when you have company – put out a variety of

toppings and let your guests build their own pizzas, then share your inventions at the table!

My Favorite Pizza Recipe

Here are a few of my favorite pizza recipes. You can feel free to change

the ingredients however you like, depending on your desire and appetite. Before I move on with the recipe, I would once again like to emphasize on the need for any vegetarian to prepare his or her own pizza, which includes the freedom to decide how you want it.

Different types of Pizzas and the Ingredients to use

The ingredients listed here are based on my own availability, I don’t know how available they are to you, but I recommend that you make use of the ingredients listed here for a better result. These include;

Eggplant

Tomato and Kalamata Olive Pizza

4 servings

1 med. eggplant, peeled and diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 Tbsp. water

One 12- to 14-inch pizza crust

4 med. tomatoes, sliced about 1/4 inch thick

Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste, optional

1 to 1 1/2 cups grated vegan mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced

Salt and pepper

Preparation procedure

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Combine the eggplant, garlic

and water in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cover and cook until the eggplant is tender, about 8 minutes. Check occasionally and ad more water if the mixture dries out. Place the crust on a baking sheet. Arrange the tomatoes on the crust (pastry), and sprinkle with the eggplant-garlic mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Top with the mozzarella, then olives. Bake until the cheese starts to get bubbly; this takes 8 to 10 minutes. Now let it cool for 5 minutes, then cut into wedges and serve.

Onion & Cheddar Pizza

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large Spanish (red) onion, thinly sliced

1 large white onion, thinly sliced

One 12- to 14-inch pizza crust

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Heat the oil in a large skillet; add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft and golden brown, about 20 minutes. Place the crust on a baking sheet, spread the onions over it, and sprinkle with cheese. Bake until the cheese is bubbly; this takes about 8 to 10 minutes. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes, then cut into wedges and serve.

Roasted Red Pepper and Garlic Pizza

Serves 4

8 to 10 cloves garlic

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
