78The Terrorist Group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was reported to be killed by the Srilankan Army. His dead body was found today at Nanthikadal Lagoon in Jaffna peninsula and there was a bullet wound in his head. DNA tests have been done to reconfirm that the body is that of the LTTE Chief itself. Yesterday it was said that he was shot dead when he tried to escape in an ambulance with 2 of his men. Photographs reveal that he was shot in the forehead itself and it is atpresent unknown whether he committed sucide or was killed after being caught alive. Such confusions are still there in everyones mind and so all of us are waiting for the explanations from Srilankan Government and Army officials. Last day LTTE had informed the Army that they ready to surrender arms marking the end of Sri Lankan Civil War. Charles Anthony son of Prabhakaran was also killed in an ambush.

Sri Lankans celebrate end of war as Prabhakaran is Shot Dead
Rebel Chief Prabhakaran was a very bad nightmare for many people. He is the master mind behind the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. I would say that Srilankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha has taken a very brave decison to end terrorism. Tiger suicide attacks have been a major tactic of LTTE which had destroyed many innocent lives. Everyone is hoping that Peace returns to Srilanka and everyone is waiting for the defeat of Taliban in Pakistan also, so that the world can be a "Better Place to Live" with the wiping out of Terrorism completely. Srilankan President Mahindra Rajapaksha will make an official announcement regarding the Prabhakaran's Death.
The rebels have decided to surrender before the Srilankan Military with the death of their leader Prabhakaran and his body is believed to be found from Mullivaaikkaal area of Karaithuraipatru AGA division of Mullaitheevu district. The dead body is taken to an army camp in Colombo where the Post Mortem and other identification procedures like DNA Tests will be held.
All LTTE Leaders Who have been the Main Roots of this Organisation have been killed. So Srilankan Government and India along with other countriesand Red Cross can now bring medical aid and food supply to the tamil people.
This ends the 25 Year old war in Srilanka and the Defeat of Terrorism.

Srilankan government is taking more steps for confirming that the dead body found is that of prabhakaran or any of his look alikes. that is why DNA tests are being conducted and so it is taking some time for official announcement.

It is a coincidence and happy thing that Prabhakaran was killed on May 18 th 2009 after long 18 years. God has given the smallest punishment for Prabhakaran , a death with piercing bullets , which is very smaller when compared to the painful death of Rajeev Gandhi who was torn to pieces and fully burned out in the sucide belt bomb attack by the LTTE terrorist group.
Rajiv's soul will rest in peace as the key assasin was also brought down dead today. The time taken for dharma to act is of course a long period of 18 years. Kurkshetra battle took only 18 days but this mental agony and bereavement to Rajiv's family has taken 18 years. Satyameva jayate! It would be better if money spent all these years on the trial and conviction of other assasins are not wasted by the government and other mercy political friends found locally. If that be the motive then the entire expenses toward the trial (1991 till date) and cost of special jail construction can be reimbursed to Govt of India by LTTE's friends.

People who never lived in Sr-Lanka are so busy spreading untruthfull rumours that I am compelled to write this. I lived there. I still visit my Sinhalese, Tamil, Burgher, Paasi and Muslim friends over in Sri-Lanka. I don't know where this so-called prejudice exists! Neither do my friends. It was created by a power-hungry fat, megalomaniac who instilled hatred amongst those tamil people who lived abroad by kidnapping their relatives and then demanding monies from them for a selfish cause that never needed to have started. So let us return to normality and live with one another in peace and try and achieve some prosperity.

Terrorism is intolerable wherever it may occur and is abhorrent to civilized people.
All humans (the 5th Ape) descended from the one mother in Africa. So, we are all cross-bred products. It also means that we are all very distant relatives of one another. Depending on the proximity to the equator, pursued sexual partner and continental drift, their appearance changed or evolved to survive. Therefore the multitude of skin-pallor and appearance of present day Homo-sapiens. This creates a stronger gene-pool.
Religion was man-made irrespective of which, to create society (probably due to lawlessness, greed, bullying, rape etc in that era) which we believe separates us from animals. All wars are caused through human greed or religion. If we can be honest with ourselves, then we know that every human subconsciously or overtly believe that they are superior to other humans, be they of immediate vicinity or from a geographically different origin. Hence the need to denigrate others albeit for their religious beliefs, there ethnic background or socio-economic standing.
From the earliest time humans worshipped anything that they couldn’t comprehend. All religions created a mythical “Heaven” and “Hell” initially as a deterrent to wrongdoing thereby paving the path to an organized and peaceful ‘civilized’ existence. Some enterprising individuals saw it as a good way of making a living whilst continuing to create good society and promote altruism. Hence the existence of Kovils, Churches, Temples and Mosques and their respective Swamis, Priests, Monks and Imams.
In the last century, man has developed in leaps and bounds along with mental skills. Super factories, vehicles, commercial flights, submarines, supertankers, high-rise buildings, massive bridges and under-sea tunnels that connect land masses and even visited other heavenly bodies in the solar-system to mention but a few of human achievements.
However, mentally when it comes to a point of crisis humans turn to divine powers in the hope of salvation. The reasons behind this are complex but basically they want to be forgiven or saved from their multitude of “sins”. The “sins” are committed due to “greed” or religious beliefs. The latter in particular is “brain-washed” into our thoughts through consistent, systematic education (Sunday school etc) of whichever religion one’s parents believed in from early childhood. This becomes a thought process that is second nature working in both, at a conscious and sub-conscious level in one’s mind.
Although this is essentially how civilization works, surely the thinking man can work out that there is no God guiding, rewarding or punishing them. It is entirely up to each and every individual to be thoughtful of his environment and its’ sustenance requirements (hence “do unto others as …”) if we are to maintain an organized society. If there was a God how can he create such social reprobates as terrorists, murderers, rapists etc. etc.? If God is so great why do some individuals behead their captives in the name of God? I do not for a moment believe that this could be explained away by a simplistic “God moves in mysterious ways”. If we have good fortune to thank God, we should also hold this same God responsible for all the bad fortune as well.
The foreign so-called civilized countries are eager to chastise the Sri-Lankan Government. Have they forgotten what the LTTE stands for? Their contribution to humanity was the creation of the suicide-bomb, as can be witnessed all over the globe today. (It killed the Prime Minister Rajiv Ghandi of India and Premadasa, the Prime Minister of Sri-Lanka. Their families have suffered as a result with no end in sight of the famous “closure”.)
Would these same foreign countries be willing to allow self-rule and government to large ethnic populations that reside on their soil? ie; Would America be willing to give California to the Mexicans? Would Australia give the state of Victoria to the Greeks to govern? Would Britain give Southall to the Pakistanis? So then, why are they asking the Sri-Lankan people (I mean all Sri-Lankans!) to give more than a third of their domicile to the 12 percent of Tamil people of which 54 percent live in the south?
And why then should these international bodies cry foul when the LTTE is destroyed? Would they like terrorism at their doorstep? Why did they invade Iraq? Why did they invade Afghanistan? Why did they interfere in the former Yugoslavia? Why are they clamouring to goad Pakistan to attack the Taliban whilst remaining in the background?
So please, if they are unable or unwilling to help Sri-Lanka, the least they can do is to mind their own business and backyards and their skeletons in their cupboards, and let a sovereign country rid themselves of terrorism and return to peace and harmony along with economic prosperity under a democratically elected government?.
I wonder if they are worried that they are no longer able to sell arms and ammunition to these misguided terrorists and the poor third-world countries that are affected. Surely they must realize that the “divide and conquer” does not work anymore even though that is what they did to India in the past.

My request to all Indians, please know the complete story before commenting any thing about it. Prabhakaran founder of LIT followed by LTTE, was upset from his early childhood days over the second grade tratment of Sri Lankan Sinhalese Govt. ovver Tamils (basically an Indian race). Killing of Sri Rajiv Gandhi might be considered one of the wrong things that he did, for which he was also sorry. But in the heat of the moment, when the IPKF peace keeping forces send by Sri Rajiv Gandhi raped and killed innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka, Prabhakaran would have taken this step. Obituary notice of Velupillai Prabhakaran
All True Tamilians must be happy about the death of ruthless terrorist Velupillai Prabhakaran. Tamils are a nation lived in Sri Lanka with dignity before the emergence of Velupillai Prabhakaran and his Terrorist organisation LTTE. All the leaders that Sri Lankan Tamil community had were killed by LTTE on the orders of Prabhakaran. How many great Tamil politicians were killed by LTTE? How many Tamil intellectuals, educationists, businessmen were killed by them? Several honored principals of colleges in Jaffna were killed. A large number of university professors, lecturers, doctors, engineers were brutally assasinated by LTTE on orders of this man.
Today the Sri Lanka Tamil community is a nation without leaders. Prabhakaran killed all of them to be the sole representative and leader of Tamils. Even leaders of other terrorist groups who were all fighting for a separate state, were killed by him to make sure that there won't be any competitors for him for the leadership.
Prabhakaran killed his own deputies of his own organisation LTTE when he felt that they would be a threat to his leadership.
Prabhakaran did not allow Tamil children to stay at home and they were all taken by force to build his child army. Parents who opposed were killed by LTTE. You know how many Tamil families have come to Colombo and suburbs and live with Sinhalese people because of the threats by LTTE to conscript their children and also demand for money ransoms.
Ultimately, Prabhakaran retained hundred thousands of Tamil civilians in the no-fire-zone as hostages for his own protection as a human shield thinking that one day some European country would come for his rescue. Those civilians who escaped his human shield were shot at. How many civilians were killed when they tried to escape and arrive at the government controlled areas.
What has Prabhakaran done to the Tamil community. He almost destroyed the whole of Tamil community in Sri Lanka. They are all happy about the end of this ruthless terrorists and its leadership. But still they hesitate to celebrate because of the fact that still there may be LTTE members in Colombo and suburbs. Otherwise it is the Tamil community who will fire crackers and celebrate the death of V. Prabhakaran before all others in Sri Lanka and elsewhere.

Many many Sinhala whom i know have said that if the GOSL presidents had one INCH of Prabhakaran's discipline and intelligence, then SL would really be paradise but GOSL is headed up by a bunch of semi literate thugs. What happened to Nadesan? Nadesan came out with a white falg to ask for peace and the GOSL army shot him down in cold bllod. Look through the history archives: the LTTE have never raped Sinhala women or abused them but look at the atrocities of Sinhala soldiers in our villages.....because Sinhala are barbaric by nature...that is what and who you ar. You will never prosper on the world stage. Look at the Tamil diaspora and the success of tamils. Ruku, you, as all those who are disappointed by the downfall of the LTTE are the one who needs to check up on history. The change in the official language to Sinhala affected everyone. I for one had to change from English to Sinhalese almost overnight. Oxygen became Amlakara Vaayuwa. It ruined my education. There were no overnight Sinhalese text books available. So please do not say only Tamils were affected. All Sri Lankans were affected. That’s why the younger generation’s English skills are so poor. It is racist to say that we are so different to each other. If you feel so strongly about it perhaps you should leave the Sri Lankan dust under your feet behind and try your Eelam luck and terrorism in Tamil Nadu or Malaysia. Why do you want a piece of land for your Eelam so forcibly? Why don’t you buy land like everyone else in the world do? You will see how quickly your Eelam ideas will be shot down. Only Sri Lanka bathed in blood tolerated the LTTE nonsense for so long. No other country will. You should try living in peace and use all the monies that are sent over by the Tamil Diaspora to help improve the country instead of destroying it.

The comments against LTTE and Prabaharan by certain people and certain groups is ridiculous.Killing of Mr Rajiv Gandhi, though is wrong but must be analysed properly.So many innocent people were killed just to compensate that one persons life.Tamils are scrutinised worldwide and Prabaharan stood for the whole Tamil people in the world. What benefit he gained personally.We worship and adore so many freedom fighters but why not Mr Prabaharan.
Let idiotic people talks badly about him, but the Tamils worldwide will remember him for his sacrifice.

If a doctor you really are, then strange your love for humanity if you believe that Prabhakaran is your hero. The only sacrifices he made were those poor misled Tamils, innocent Sinhalese and Muslim civilians that he tortured, terrorised and murdered by the thousands. All in the name of an un-attainable "Eelam" of which he wanted to be the "Sun God"! The only 'idiot' (as you call the general freedom loving people that comment here) seems to be you. Perhaps you are just a “wannabe doctor” that requires a decent education to make you open your eyes to reality and the odd villains of this world like Prabhakaran and the atrocities that he committed. Empty vessels such as you need a large drink of knowledge and facts. There is no LTTE left. Prabhakaran is dead. Move on and lead a happy peaceful life.
Long time ago ,when Mr.Prabhakaran was called to attend meeting with Late Mr.Rajiv Gandi in a hotel.He was forced to sign the peace agreement papers ( which asked them to surrender their weapons).He was ready to sign peace agreement but refused to surrender weapons as he know very well about Sri Lankans.I had an insight/dream that something will happen to our then national leader Mr.Rajiv Gandhi.Unfortunately it happened.This could have been avoided.
Similary when Mr.Kittu was caught dead by our Navy while he was smuggling weapons to battle field in Sri Lanka.I had another insight/dream that something bad going to happen to leaders of LTTE and its cadres.Unfortunately it happened.This could have been avoided.
Mullivaikkal is not going to be an END.This Because i had another insight/dream .In that many unwanted things are happening which is going disturb not only Sri Lanka but also our peace.It is their fight but unfortunately we are going to pay the price.Sri Lanka thinks that they have destroyed all the LTTE.Infact, they destroyed only old generation fighters who are mostly poor,innocent,under educated brave people who likes to confront with Army face to face .But this war is going to produce thousands of new generation fighters who are smart,intellectual and cunning who doesn't like to confront with Army on the battel field.
I believe that Ragavan should stop living in a world of dreams, wake up and face reality. The "older generation" fighters were kept ill-educated thanks to Prabhakaran stopping them from getting an education. He obviously harbours some fervent hope that the LTTE will be resurrected. If he is not blood-thirsty and would like to live as a decent, peace-loving human being, he should wipe both the sleep and hatred that he is trying to invoke in others and practise a little of his 'religion' and learn to educate himself on how to live in peace.
