Verizon FiOS to Launch VOIP in 2009
64Verizon FiOS Launching VOIP
In early 2009, Verizon FiOS will be deploying a new VOIP service. In an article published here, it is said to be that the service will be priced comparably with Verizon’s existing plans. Although it is not a very inexpensive service, the customers will be getting the best of their buck if Verizon will bundle it with other services like cellphone, TV, and internet, as what the company is known for.
Reports also say that the service will be using the home wiring which will let the customers use their existing phone jacks for their extensions. This is one common issue with other VOIP phone service providers that they can only plug one phone to the ATA (analogue telephone adapter) that the phone VOIP company supplies.
Of course, this VOIP phone service will also have some the common features that a normal phone would have but also the tremendous capabilites that a VOIP phone service would offer.
Reports also say that Verizon FiOS VOIP service will also offer a virtual number for an extra charge and there will be two plans offered - an unlimited VOIP plan and a metered VOIP plan.
I can’t wait for this exciting offer Verizon will be rolling out to welcome the new year with a bang!
