Victoria Caroline Beckham is an English singer, songwriter, dancer, and fashion designer best known as a WAG, to David Beckham. She was part of the successful pop group Spice Girls, where she was known as 'Posh Spice.' She is also known because of her fashion style and is among the lists of "best dressed ladies".

Victoria Adams was born in in Hertfordshire on 17 April 1974 in a middle class family. She attended Jason Theatre School in Hoddesdon. At 17, she started going to the Laine Arts Theatre College in Epsom, Surrey. Victoria enjoyed huge success as Posh Spice in the girl band, The Spice Girls. Their first single, Wannabe and their debut album, Spice, were smash hits. The group dissolved five years later and each of the members started solo careers in music or acting, including Victoria, although her careers were not as successful as when they were a band.

After the Spice Girls, Victoria started dating footballer David Beckham in 1997, and the couple were dubbed "Posh and Becks" by the media. Beckham proposed to Victoria on 24 January 1998 in a restaurant in Cheshunt, England, and their first son, Brooklyn Joseph, was born on 4 March 1999. The two were married at Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland on 4 July 1999, and the wedding attracted tremendous media coverage. Beckham's teammate Gary Neville was the best man, and the couple's son Brooklyn, then four months old, was the ring bearer. The media were kept away from the ceremony, as the Beckhams had an exclusive deal with OK! Magazine, but newspapers were still able to obtain photographs showing them sitting on golden thrones. 437 staff were employed for the wedding reception, which was estimated to have cost £500,000. The Beckhams' second son, Romeo James, was born on 1 September 2002; a third son, Cruz David, followed in February 2005 in Madrid, Spain.

Victoria wrote an autobiography, 'Learning to Fly' and a book on style in 2006 called "That Extra Half Inch". She has become close friends with Katie Holmes, whose style has changed dramatically after her friendship with Victoria.

Victoria and David form a huge marketing industry and have sold their image to a great number of products.

Victoria joined the all girl band Spice Girls, originally called "Touch", in 1994, together with Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm. The group's first love affair, "Wannabe", went straight to number one, and would be followed by eight other massively successful number one singles from their debut album Spice. Each member of the group received a nickname from the media; Victoria became "Posh Spice", so called because of her regal and composed attitude, deadpan facial expressions and much elegant pointing towards the camera, and a penchant for short, black Gucci dresses and high heels. The group would become one of the most successful acts of the 1990's, selling in excess of thirty-five million albums worldwide of both Spice and its follow-up album, Spiceworld. After the release of their third album, Forever, which was much less successful than their previous two albums, the Spice Girls stopped recording, and Victoria would eventually take steps toward a solo career.

"Posh" was one of the most popular Spice Girls for the media, but had considerably less musical input than the others, especially in the beginning. For instance, she's the only one not to sing solo lines in their debut single, 'Wannabe' (although after Geri left, she'd do some of her bits on stage), and whenever she took over lead vocals for other numbers, she was partially or even completely harmonised by Emma (e.g. 'Naked', 'Viva Forever', 'Goodbye'). Notable exeptions are 'Say You'll Be There' and 'Lady's A Vamp', where she's one of the main vocalists throughout, and 'Holler'.
