Video Game Beta Testers Earn Up To $120/hr!

Video Game Beta Tester's Wanted!

Game developers sorely need beta testers. But how you factor into this? You are an unknown from nowhere, and you probably have no idea what it takes to be a professional video game tester and you have absolutely NO idea where to look. This short article should wet your beak, and quick start your way to finding video game testing jobs.

Your not stupid so let's be quick about this part. First testing video games as a job is not to good to be true, you can make up to $120 an hour doing it, but if you are just starting out, expect to make somewhere in the range of $10-20 an hour. You won't find your first job today or tomorrow, it will likely take you a few weeks to a few months, but you can find a job if you stick with it (more on this later). You can work from your home, full time or part time, and you don't need a degree or anything like that? Ok? Can we move on now?

Now where do you find these video game beta tester jobs? You won't see ads on TV or in the newspaper, and they can go by relatively unheard of. But like all good things in life, you need to search for them a little. Finding these jobs is half the battle. One way you can do it alone, is browsing game developer websites often (such as Microsoft, 2K sports, SEGA etc) and keeping an eye for openings. You should get ongoing and up to date guidance and secrets for finding these jobs, and for more information visit www.GamersTestingGround.com.

Now, here is something to clarify for you. A beta test is for a game that is almost completely finished and the developers want to test it before launch to fix and bugs and ensure it runs smoothly. These games are typically LOW BUDGET GAMES! That's right, beta test games are usually low budget because testing is only happening during near complete production. You want to look for ALPHA test jobs.

Alpha test jobs are for games in early production and are available as soon as a playable portion is made. These are also higher budget games, you will be more involved, and you can get paid more. So from now on, you want to look for alpha game tests not beta game tests.

Once you get a job with a game developer you are sent the game and assignment in the mail. You are required to play the game and report back on several issues: -ESRP compliance -bugs -scripting (spelling/grammar) -complexity -enjoyment -running time errors (eg. Does the game crash if you leave your character running into a wall?)

As the complexity of games increase, so do the play variables and the amount of time needed to test all those variables. As a result, video game beta testers (and alpha testers) are sorely needed. To get a jump start on your video game career today visit www.GamersTestingGround.com for ongoing help and up to date tips and techniques for finding video game beta tester (and alpha) jobs.

Best of luck with your gaming!
