Everything you need to know about Video Game Testing SCAMS and more!

Introduction

Now, if your like me, you want money and you want it NOW. You love playing video games and you know EVERYTHING about them. So one day you feel like you want to make money out of this hobie if you wanna call it. So you go on google and search Video game testing jobs. You see so many nice offers! This is where all hell breaks loose. This is where i will show you what are scams so you don't waste a whole bunch of cash!

Gamer Testing Ground

The first one you should be VERY aware of is www.gamertestingground.com! This site looks very promising. It's actually the very first site i found when i was looking around. I read through EVERYTHING and i was hooked instantly. I mean i somewhat suspected that this could be a scam because of all the highlighting and BIG BOLD WORDS. These are what you should stay away from! Gamer Testing Ground says this in big bold letters at the top of the page "Lazy Video Game Player With No College Education Makes $150 a DAY Playing Video Games And Drinking Soda.". This is REDICULOUS! This is what you need to know, i am very sorry but you WILL NOT be paid that much in a day, at least not in the video game testing industry. You can expect to make $32,000 a year on the average if you have less then three years of experience. You really do not begin to make significantly more money until you have over six years of experience and then you can make an average of $50,000 a year. Now if you calculate that with gamer testing ground, if you earn about $150 a day like they say, thats $1050 a week, which is rediculous right there! Why stop there? If you spend a year with gamer testing ground that means you'll make $50,400 a year. That is just way to rediculous for an average gamer to be paid against someone who has been making the same thing "you would be making" with over six years of experiance. Overall, I strongly erge you to STAY AWAY from Gamer Testing Ground. Still not convinced? Just search in your google toolbar "Gamer Testing Ground Scam".

This is just ONE of MANY scams that you should look-out for! Just Remember these 5 things when looking at any other Video Game Testing sites.

  • Look for BIG bold highlighted text, this means they are trying to real you into a deal.
  • If the site promises over $10 an hour, Stay away from it. Usually game testers only get paid $9-$10 an hour.
  • If the site askes YOU to pay for a job, never go for it. Why should you have to pay $40 to get a job!
  • Usually people wanting to hire you will be for a company that is known, like Microsoft and Ubisoft.
  • If the site looks to good to be true, ignor it and just keep looking.

Other sites that you should watch out for:

  • Only4Gamers= SCAM
  • game tester guide= SCAM
  • Elite Game Tester= Seems Legit, but havn't tried it.

If you have any questions E-mail me at JPhill15@hotmail.com

Good Luck in your search and I hoped this helped alot. =]

Kevin is just a lying spammer from "Only4Gamers.com" Plus only4gamers.com says you will get paid $90 an hour an has a stupid marketing scheme. If you could get paid $90 an hour for playing video games it would be much more mainstream then having to search for a site. and there wouldnt be anymore hookers. lol. Yes i wish the video game testing to become rich was true, its in my dreams somewhere. but like JPhill16 said, if its too good to be true. dont do it. i mean, come on, send me $2000 and i will give you $1000 an hour to test HD TVs. stop funding scammers. thanks for the info JPhill16

Something has to be done because the people looking for a job in this area desperately are vulnerable to these spammers. I would love to do this but nothing is legit. So for those out there who are looking for answers to some scams this place has the answer. I am grateful myself to have stumbled across it.

also beware of any page with a pop-up add when you enter the site or when your trying to leave the site. If when you hit the back button or close window button the site stops you and offers you a deal once or twice and flips the cancel button into a stay on this page button its almost always a scam
