Videotron Illico Digital Cable
62Videotron Illico Digital cable - endus interruptus
My girlfriend and I were visiting my parents when we settled down next to my father to watch Traitor, a suspense movie starring Don Cheadle.
We were enjoying the new digital cable box we just installed. Great video quality! This Videotron Illico Digital cable is truly vivid quality even on my parents analogue TV. The movie started at 7pm and it kept us glued to the action. It was on ch. 213 - the movie network package with no commercials! By 20:30 we started seeing artifacts, you know streaks of black across the image, and 10 min from the end the movie froze - in the most climactic part! By the time it came back we were watching the end credits!
The wonders of digital cable results in missed movie ending - ergo the endus interruptus tag of my post.
I was wondering if this is a special occurrence from our wonderful Videotron Illico Digital cable company in Quebec, or do other Digital Cable companies have the same joyful customer experience ?
BTW, the Videotron Illico Digital cable service call was truly a "fantastic" experience - I called to ask what's happening with the service and the service guy asks me 20 questions about the customer account instead of trying to fix our problem. Is that the routine for other Cable companies in the rest of Canada or the Sates?
I guess being "served" by the Quebecor monopoly leaves the customer with less service and a lot more questions...
