Slimming : Villa Raintree

The woody plant bamboo is becoming an essential spa tool as it contains silicium and magnesium to help preserve collagen and elastin fibers in skin.

At Villa RainTree Resort & Spa, two different bamboo massagers are used for its slimming treatment along with slimming oil, an anti-cellulite ampoule and moisturizing lotion. The therapist will administer a full-body scrub to prep skin for the slimming ingredients before gliding the bamboo poles rhythmically from the soles of the feet to the back of the neck.

Each bamboo massager is used for a limited number of sessions before they are thrown away. The first has a wider diameter and smooth surface to drain, firm and relax while the other is a ridged bundle of seven narrower sticks to break down cellulite and fats at troublesome areas such as buttocks, tummy and thighs.

You can feel your blood circulating after the scrub-down and the constant rolling of bamboo implements eases muscle spasms.

Body seems firmer too although you can't expect the spa to do magic with just one session.
