Vinegar: A Cheap, Effective and Green Means to Mold Cleaning

Natural mold removal has a clear advantage to any other mold cleaning means. The benefits that it can bring are far more than just for humans but favor the earth even. Vinegar, is one of the numbered effective and natural basic home ingredients that could work well for a truly productive and inexpensive mold cleaning.

There are actually two kinds of products that can be used to get rid of molds. They are the chemical-based ones and the naturally-produced ones. The former is made of hazardous ingredients while the latter is composed or organic elements. Between the two, many evidences had proven that the latter is a much better and safer choice.

Sure, there are instances that are calling for the use of chemical based mold removal products. However, they are but extreme cases. In such cases though, employing a professional is more advisable than using any available strong mold removal product.

In the event that the infestation can be easily handled, that is it is yet too wide to cover 10 ft.sq., the item or the surface can still be saved. The best mold removal product to use to have it restored is vinegar. Why? The reasons can be summed up in three words. It is cheap, effective and green. With those, you sure can get something good out of little money that you will have to spend for it.

But of course, every process has various steps to undertake. Generally, all of the procedures are the same. But since the mold removal products that can be used got differences, it follows that the processes also has variations.

With the use of vinegar, here are the steps for the mold removal process.

  • Step1 – Protect your hands – As been said, vinegar is a green product and the use of it will not bring any toxic effect. However, it is an acid that can irritate the skin of your hands. Better wear gloves before you start the mold removal to prevent hand irritation and to keep your hands from getting the sour vinegar smell. Not that the smell can cause serious respiratory illness but to some however, it's just foul.

  • Step 2 – Srcub the infested surface – What you will need for this step are detergent, water and brush. Before you start scrubbing though, dampen the surface first to prevent mold spores from being released into the air and be carried to the rest of your house. Scrubbing will prepare the surface for the actual removal and can remove most of the molds

  • Step 3 – Apply the vinegar – Use a spray bottle to contain the vinegar that you will be using. This will make it easier to apply. Then, spray on the mold infested surface scrubbing it with the brush. If the there are still some that will remain, simply repeat the process.

Vinegar can initiate an effective and safe mold removal process. Apart from that, it wouldn't require you too much money to get everything work. With it, mold cleaning can be inexpensively done yielding benefits for both you and your family's health and even preserving the environment.
