My topic in an earlier post was the use of vintage-designed templates for myspace users. Now I have found online a competition where the use of vintage backgrounds or vintage products is one of two possibilities available from which graphic artists may select.

In a similar way to those who use their talents to create myspace vintage layouts, the entrants must design an advertisement. However this contest involves not only their design abilities, but also their marketing strategies. The rules of this contest are thus: take modern products and advertise them in a vintage way, or take vintage products and advertise them in a modern light.

The ad must be of high quality; otherwise the use of any product or background is available to the participants. There are many interesting ads featuring products such as Tivo, Mac computers, and mobile telephones to name a few.
