What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant is an independent business owner who works from their own home office for a business on a contractual basis. The Virtual Assistant is not an employee for the company and is responsible for her own equipment, business expenses and benefits.

Best Books on Virtual Assistants

If you are serious about becoming a virtual assistant you do want to invest some time and money in learning as much as you can about this business. The Virtual Assistant: The Series is my favorite books for virtual assistants; both new assistants and those who have already started their virtual assistant business.

This book is filled with advice, resources and excerpts from actual virtual assistants who have built successful home businesses. Learn what they do, how they do it and what a typical "day in the life" of a virtual assistant is really like.
