Okay, let me clear one thing. I am not an Atheist, I was but not anymore. I was originally born a Catholic, but family consisted on Christians and Jehovah Witnesses (90%). I fall into the category of other, a.k.a. Agnostic. If you do not know an Agnostic is, here is a definition from WikiPedia.org

Agnosticism (Greek: α- a-, without + γνώσις gnōsis, knowledge; after Gnosticism) is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims — particularly metaphysical claims regarding theology, afterlife or the existence of deities, spiritual-beings, or even ultimate reality — is unknown or, depending on the form of agnosticism, inherently impossible to prove or disprove. It is often put forth as a middle ground between theism and atheism,[1] though it is not a religious declaration in itself, and the terms are not mutually exclusive, since agnosticism refers to knowledge, while atheism and theism refer to belief.[2]

Demographic research services normally list agnostics in the same category as atheists and/or non-religious people,[3] using 'agnostic' in the sense of 'noncommittal'.[4][dubiousdiscuss] However, this can be misleading given the existence of agnostic theists, who identify themselves as both agnostics in the original sense and followers of a particular religion.

Philosophers and thinkers who have written about agnosticism include Thomas Henry Huxley, Albert Einstein, Robert G. Ingersoll, and Bertrand Russell. Religious scholars who wrote about agnosticism are Peter Kreeft, Blaise Pascal and Joseph Ratzinger, later elected as Pope Benedict XVI.

A lot of information right? TAKE IT ALL!

Well if you have read the definition or know it already then you should know that Agnosticism is sort of like a middle ground (not a declared religion) of Theism and Atheism. In more plain terms Agnosticism is more of Knowledge then compared to both Atheism and Theism which pertains to Belief. I believe that knowledge is the key to life and it's lessons, not the lessons based on a book dated far beyond its original coursework. You see it is in man kind to alter and defile original information. Bending it and curving it into his/hers preferred way of seeing it. A perfect example of this would be the formation of Cults and Subcultures (those that are the anti-body of set stand points in religious base texts). Cults are formed when people believe that their particular religion is not satisfying their life hood meanings, thus creating a false hood of spin-offs. And with an easier more manipulative stand point, any religion can be created out of one or two lines of a book. Therefore, creating a sensual more alluring sense of belief, because curiosity is in human nature, and to satisfy human nature is to succumb to curiosity. Because not succumbing to human curiosity creates a wall that disables more learning aspects in life. If you have never tried it then why mark it off as a stigma. You don't know you may just like what you cannot understand. Which brings me to Social Mindfulness. Without acceptance of the unknown, then what replaces curiosity is despise, stigma, and ignorance?

Humanity. Humanity is a disturbing thing. Tread lightly for our steps not only affect the people in our lives, but it also affects our surroundings. It is in human nature to cause disruption, no matter how hard someone could actually be aware of their actions/responses. You can never really cherish life until you destroy yourself. That's how I see it, my opinion. They are many things in my life that I could just easily blame on another person, that is human. I am instinctively trying to protect myself from myself. From the harm that I have caused myself to experience. Yes, there were other means that played to my downfall but in the end the only one that dug my grave was myself. Human Nature. TO protect yourself from yourself is how you destroy yourself. Which could be flipped to "If God created it to be this way, then let it be." So if you were raped God said it will be okay, because you needed to be raped to be taught a lesson? Non-sense. If you believe that an anomaly of God that Almighty, I would say he has some pretty sick retribution techniques along with the tools to inflict on someone the torture of self destruction within ones self. I respectfully disagree with your beliefs, but that would not stop me from being your friend. But that is the least to say (from my experiences) vise-versa. It is within the power of our minds that contradict the power of our actions, and the scary part is that the power of our minds could very well contradict every aspect of our lives. In church I used to hear love your enemies, love? Enemies? If God were to be so accepting then why label potential people enemies? This is just My Own Opinion.
