Located right on the ‘point of the altar' known as Kalaeokaunu in Oahu, Turtle Bay Resort has become one of the area's finest resorts and destinations of choice for travelers from around the world. The resort originally was designed to become a gambling hotspot, but soon turned into a casual but luxurious resort instead. Just an hour's drive from Waikiki, Turtle Bay is one resort you won't want to miss on your vacation to the Hawaiian islands. Whether you're looking for a gorgeous view of the Hawaiian sunset, or simply a beautiful spa to relax in and enjoy, Turtle Bay is a destination hotel and resort that is sure to take care of you throughout your visit to the tropics.

The moment you step into Turtle Bay, you'll be greeted by the concierge and catch a glimpse of the Spa Luana, a recent development. The spa features specialized treatments, including an authentic Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage service. ‘Luana' means relaxation, and this destination in particular is one of the best in the area. Other indigineous treatments include a Hawaii Coffee Bean & Macadamia Nut Scrub, and a Pineapple Pedicure. Creating harmony with a strong spiritual undercurrent are just a few of the themes at Spa Luana.

The resort itself recently went through a multi-million dollar renovation, and each room is outfitted with marble floors, luxurious bedding, and panoramic views of the ocean from the balcony. If you prefer to upgrade a room or suite, the small cottages filed with amenities are a great option; bungalows are available right on the oceanfront, and the most expensive packages include a personal butler and extravagant in-room dining options. In addition to the private beach cottages, the resort has built a lineup of even more luxurious accommodations with a set of villas. The Ocean Villas feature three and four bedroom accommodations with high-end furnishings and a gourmet kitchen. If you're traveling alone, the Studio villa will be the perfect fit!

Golf and outdoor activities are plentiful at the resort. Helicopter tours are offered daily, or you can opt for a day of horseback riding or an island tour during your stay. Both the Palmer and Fazio golf courses are popular spots to enjoy the sunshine amidst the stunning landscapes. If you prefer activities on the water, enjoy an afternoon of snorkeling, boogie boarding, or kick off those sandals and take part in some beach volleyball.

End the day with a gourmet meal or appetizers at Lei Lei's Bar and Grill, followed by a traditional Luau at the Kahuku Terrace. Every Friday night at 6 p.m., guests are greeted at the Kahuku Lawn Terrace with a kukui nut lei. If you stay for the dinner show, you can enjoy traditional Tahitian music, fire dancing, and an extravagant ‘Taste of the Islands Iuau' buffet. If you're staying over the weekend, the Palm Terrace features an unforgettable Sunday brunch.

From beachfront entertainment at the Bay Club, and plenty of parties and hosted events along the coast, you'll always find something to do during your stay at Turtle Bay Resort.

Hi Sabah,

It is a beautiful area.  There is a big push by the current owners of Turtle Bay to expand the resort farther west into an area called the Country.  This is where surfers from all around come to challenge the monster waves of the world famous North Shore.  It's also where a lot of people call home and they are concerned that the Turtle Bay expansion will ruin the rural feel of the area and run all the small businesses out.  There has been plenty of local opposition to the expansion, with legal challenges and many local vehicles donning bumper stickers saying, "Keep the Country country."  Turtle Bay has a right to expand just like Wal-Mart has the right to move into a new community.  The flipside of that though is that the people who live in these communities have the right to fight the expansion.  Thank you for sharing information about this very beautiful part of our great country.

Take care,

Joe
