Vista AMD Cool and Quiet Drivers
72Now that Windows Vista has been out for a little while, some of the problems have surfaced. One of the most frequently inquired about is users not being able to install AMD's cool & quiet drivers to work which allows for the power saving feature.
The AMD's C&Q driver page only contains drivers for Windows XP. The reason why there is no page is the Vista has them built in. Navigate to the Control Panel -> System -> Power Options. Pick a plan, it does not matter which one. Select "Change Plan Settings". Scroll down to "Processor Power Management" and click the + next to it. This will allow you to modify the min and max power setting for the CPU on both battery and plugged in.
