  • Folic Acid is essential for the normal production of red blood cells. Fewer red blood cells are produce when folic acid levels in the body is low.
  • Folic Acid supplement are not a standard requirement for pregnant women, to avoid birth defect.

Hi. Thought I'd let you know I just published a hub on recent findings showing a link between folate supplement intake during the later stages of pregnancy and the development of childhood asthma. Very interesting research:)
